Yeah, I definitely had high hopes for the Aardman bits but they are definitely lacking ... something....

They just seem pointless and more of a "well, I guess we can do something ... here give it to intern Steve ..." kind of output.

Hopefully they will take an upswing in content and execution and will start to be more memorable and worth talking about.

This past weekend they had a new Batarang short, a MAD short "Green Care Bear", and the "World's Funniest" Aardman bit.

none of them were particularly engaging or funny.

I see why I forgot one... Green Care Bear... Oddly enough that was the only one from last week that I could find (added the video to the list)

Why can't the MAD shorts made for DC Nation be as good as the ones in the actual MAD show?...

The WonderCon bit was fun, some nice costumes, too. Plas was especially good, but the Titans stole the top spot this week.

Spoiler: show
Robin the Toy Wonder! Who woulda thunk it?...

Looks like "Teen Titanic" will be MAD's short next week... and was that Cosmic Boy running through the streets of Mos Espa in "The Adventures of Tauntaun"?...

I'm really liking the Plastic Man and Animal Man shorts.
Today... A Darkseid invasion, and all Animal Man can do is teach a lesson to a dog owner...
hilarious.

Maybe one day, Mattel can get their act together and find a line to release figures based on the shorts in.

Anyone else worried about how the two shows going into reruns for a while is going to impact the shorts?...

Well, GL was a re-run so I didn't DVR it, sure enough, I missed the Atom short.

So, I will probably just keep DVRing the block in case any new shorts sneak out until the shows return.

Plus, with Con season upon us, I suspect we'll start seeing more of those "creator features", Cos-play segments, and "Man-on-the-street interviews" they hinted at as possibilities for the DC Nation block.

Not having TV, I count on WB and the fans to upload em all...I'd love to see this expand into it's own half hour anthology style show.

Teen Titans need to be longer.
Plastic Man Needs his own show.
Super Best Friends is the best one!
MAD skits have got me into this show.
DC culture/Demonstrations would blow my mind if I was 5
DC Profiles make me wish super Friends did this!
Ardman = Annoying
Tokyo Superman crew should commit sepuku
Animal Man...Makes a good ring tone...
Vibe and Atom look good from the previews...Yet to see them in full.

I've found some you've yet to post.

Good finds, Eldor!

I'll try to add all of those to the thread tonight.

The Atom shorts are pretty good so far. They remind me of the Flash Gordon and Tiger Sharks toons of the 80's. Short, but sweet.

This is the best place I figured to post this, Teen Titans is getting a new cartoon inspired by the original cartoon.

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ ... s/?a=61229

Quote:
DC Nation, Cartoon Network’s home for action-packed animated series and original shorts based on characters from DC Comics (Saturdays 10:00–11:00 a.m. ET/PT), will soon be joined by a new generation of superheroes as Teen Titans Go!, a brand-new half-hour comedy-action series inspired by Warner Bros. Animation’s original fan-favorite series Teen Titans, shows the humorous side of being a teenage hero.

Featuring the principal voice cast from the original series – Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Hynden Walch as Starfire – Teen Titans Go! recaptures everything audiences loved about the original show, while adding laughter at the lighter side of being a super hero. Executive produced by Sam Register (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, The Looney Tunes Show, Teen Titans), with Michael Jelenic (ThunderCats, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Aaron Horvath (MAD, El Tigre) as producers, this side-splitting series will premiere on Cartoon Network in 2013 as part of the DC Nation programming block.

They may be super heroes who save the world every day … but somebody still has to do the laundry!

I agree that SBFF has some fantastic shorts, but could that be kept up for a full episode with out letting the joke cross over into annoying?

I would love to see it more often, I agree, but I think it works best in that "short" format.

... and yes, I am excited for TT Go!.

How many parts are there to this Sword of the Atom story. It is driving me crazy that it is so many parts!

I totally forgot about the shorts this week since both Green Lantern & Young Justice were repeats.
