Hotel Transylvania 2 Planned For 2015

Source: ComingSoon

November 9, 2012

Sony Pictures Animation is planning a return trip to Hotel Transylvania. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that an animated sequel has been scheduled for September 25, 2015.

The original film, directed by Genndy Tartakovsky featured the voice talents of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade and Jon Lovitz, all of whom are likely (but not yet confirmed) to return. It was released on September 28th of this year and has already pulled in more than $250 million at the international box office.

Tartakovsky will not return for the sequel as he's currently committed to bringing Popeye to the screen instead.

The September date puts the Hotel Transylvania sequel up against 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation's B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations.

Sony Pictures Animation has revealed the domestic teaser poster for Genndy Tartakovsky’s Hotel Transylvania 2 which you can view below.

A family get-together in Hotel Transylvania 2 brings Vlad to town — along with some secrets and drama — to visit the estranged son he hasn’t seen in years. The legendary Mel Brooks voices the character, who turns everybody’s life upside down, from Drac (Adam Sandler), Mavis (Selena Gomez) and Jonathan (Andy Samberg) to hotel regulars such as Frank (Kevin James), Wayne Werewolf (Steve Buscemi) and Murray the Mummy (Keegan-Michael Key).

Released in 2012, the original Hotel Transylvania was helmed by Tartakovsky, the creator of hit animated series like “Dexter’s Laboratory” and “Samurai Jack,” and grossed more than $350 million at the worldwide box office.

Featuring a script by Adam Sandler and Robert Smigel, Hotel Transylvania 2 hits the big screen September 25, 2015.

Watch the New Hotel Transylvania 2 Trailer!

By ComingSoon

June 17, 2015

Sony Pictures Animation has revealed the new Hotel Transylvania 2 trailer, which you can watch in the player below!

Everything seems to be changing for the better at Hotel Transylvania… Dracula’s (Sandler) rigid monster-only hotel policy has finally relaxed, opening up its doors to human guests. But behind closed coffins, Drac is worried that his adorable half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing signs of being a vampire. So while Mavis (Selena Gomez) is busy visiting her human in-laws with Johnny (Andy Samberg) – and in for a major cultural shock of her own – “Vampa” Drac enlists his friends Frank (Kevin James), Murray (Keegan-Michael Key), Wayne (Steve Buscemi) and Griffin (David Spade) to put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp. But little do they know that Drac’s grumpy and very old, old, old school dad Vlad (Mel Brook) is about to pay a family visit to the hotel. And when Vlad finds out that his great-grandson is not a pure blood – and humans are now welcome at Hotel Transylvania – things are going to get batty!

Released in 2012, the original Hotel Transylvania was helmed by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of hit animated series like “Dexter’s Laboratory” and “Samurai Jack,” and grossed more than $350 million at the worldwide box office.

Again directed by Tartakovsky and featuring a script by Adam Sandler and Robert Smigel, Hotel Transylvania 2 hits theaters on September 25.
