Various websites are reporting that longtime referee Earl Hebner, who was a part of the infamous "Montreal Screwjob" between Bret Hart and HBK was fired from the WWE. His twin brother, Dave Hebner, who worked in merchandise sales, was released also.

Based on everything I'm hearing and reading, WWE merchandise showed up in Hebner's brother's store that they could not account for... In other words, it LOOKS as if one of the two Hebner's was skimming some merchandise and re-selling it at their store-- a definite corporate no-no, if true! Other reports say they had bootleg merchandise at Hebner's store.

Based on the rapidity of the terminations, one has to believe that some corporate violation/impropriety was definitely going on to get BOTH brothers fired.
