Doubt I get one but the Helicarrier is a cool idea to me. I got Sentinel last year but missed out on Galactus and those were 2 very good large exclusives. You can't please everyone every year so I wouldn't consider it a slap in the face.

Okay nice pics. I hope we get these soon. I bet this wave will hit right at SDCC. Okay and on that note, I just made out like bandit on ebay. I just purchased 4-30" Brandon Routh Supermans', 3 Gigantic Battles Goliath, 2-Blue/Red, 1-Yellow/Blue-still in the box, never opened and 5 ML BAF Giantmans for $650. Most of the sellers gave me free priority shipping. I'm thinking of having the BR Supermans' customized into Celestials. I know mannequins would make more sense but I couldn't afford the shipping but alot of the mannequins ran cheap but the customizing itself would have been $400-$500 ea. and no space.

Pics are courtesy of the Fwoosh. Apparently these have shown up in Hong Kong...

That came out of the blue.
A third classic Angel variation and the single carded one isn't out yet. Wish they'd completed the set with Beast instead of Sinister, though.

Well to be fair-- that wouldnt be a repaint- that would be a new sculpt-- and you know those are few an far between when they do these big sets...(which is a shame.)

Yeah Sinister is an odd choice... Beast would made even me buy this! All based around issues 5 and 6 of X-Factor that would have rocked!

I mean that the new sculpt isn't out yet and we're getting three versions in one year. That's actually high praise, just unusual since newly tooled figures rarely pop up so frequently, especially in sets as you mentioned. I'm a fan of the 70's Angel rather than Archangel. This means we're getting both of Warren's Neal Adams suits and the Jackson Guice/Bob Layton 80's X-Factor tweak. Stoked.

Ok, here we go again. Hasbro has a new sculpt Cyclops and yet they insist on using that old sculpt Cyclops even for repaints. Yes, I know that would mean Hasbro has to spend more money for a tool but these would still fly off the shelves. They also had a decent chance right here to give us a new Jean Grey using that new Medusa body but instead, they insist on giving us the cheap. This is very irritating.
I think SDCC is going to be alot of repaints and using the older bodies. Hasbro, why did you even bother with introducing the new body if you were not going to commit 100%.

Iceman appears to be the Spidey Friends version with a new belt. Might be good news for anyone who missed out on that figure and prefer it to the MU clear version, which ironically also wears the X-Factor design on his torso.

I kinda want that Iceman for the stupidest reason. When I was a kid, I didn't read X-Factor, so all the information I had about those characters came from other sources. One of these was the first series of Marvel Universe trading cards, which revealed to me that Iceman's powers were out of control and he had to wear a special belt to control them. I don't know if I've ever read one comic where he wore that dumb belt...or at least where he called attention to it...but for some reason that little factoid stuck with me for 20-something years. http://marvel.com/images/gallery/story/ ... mage/83209

That pack is a total letdown for me without beast. I already have all these figures except for Angel, and I think I'll wait until he comes out as a single.

My initial exposures to Iceman were his '82 Marvel Universe Handbook entry and the Spidey Friends cartoon. I think the first time I actually read a comic featuring the guy was when he joined the New Defenders.

My first real Iceman exposure in comics was X-Factor Annual #1 and I fell in love with the character there!

The Spider-Man cartoon was probably my first exposure to him too, plus whatever few appearances he made in the X-Men comics in those days.
It wasn't until X-Factor and X-Men started crossing over...first in Inferno, then X-Tinction Agenda...that I really got any sense of Iceman, Archangel, and Jean. (Cyclops and Beast I knew thanks to X-Men Classics reprinting the Claremont/Byrne days.
