With Disney buying Lucasfilm-- guess that means even more exclusives only at the parks..

Noticed something weird at my TRU yesterday.
They have those 2-pack SW vehicles for $39.99, and most of those are rehashes of stuff that's been out for awhile.
But one of them have a brand new vehicle (to me, anyway). Some kind of Mandalorian Shuttle Transport. I don't recall seeing it anywhere else, but of course it's paired up with a vehicle I already have and don't want.
Anybody got any info on it? I'd buy it if it was a separated release.

You should have picked it up
Well it was scheduled for release over a year ago- and was cancelled-- it was only shipped out of Hasbro Canada-- Up until this recent bonus pack with TRU (which is selling out everywhere)-- it was going for between roughly 69.00- 85.00- my local TRU had about 40 of those packs yesterday- (and not one transport)
I think the price has come down because of this recent release. but its still going for about 40.00 by itself.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. They had like 30 box sets, and only one of them was the shuttle. Ah, well. I don't have enough Mandalorians to fill it up anyway.

I heard that the exclusive 2-foot Vintage boxed Millenium Falcon is on sale at TRU for the week. $179.99. Anyone getting it? I've been struggling with it. That's the one toy I wanted most as a kid and if there was only one toy I would get this year it would be that. I'm still scared off by the price though, and i'm not sure I can justify it. brrr... I should have bought it when it was released a couple years ago at the $125-ish price tag.
Anyway, I picked up Wedge, Dr. Evazan and Light Saber Construction Jedi Luke at last weeks BOGO 50% TRU sale.
I haven't found anything good during Target's Star Wars sale and that's a bummer.

I keep looking at it, but I'm not sure I can justify it. I have an earlier one (regular sized, but with the extra engine lights/sounds), but I'm still tempted.

I got it on clearance for $80 or so last time. It's AMAZING. My only complaint is that the landing struts do not retract - they are removable.
I don't know if I could justify it for $180, but for sub-$100, I'm a happy fan.

Interesting. Sigh, 2 years ago I had that Falcon in my hands many, many times and I didn't pull the trigger and now I really regret it. How it got to be $250.00 regular retail price today, I don't understand. I'll have to so some hard thinking this week.
I have an old 1980s vintage model I got off ebay many years ago but it's busted all to heck and it has been hot-glued many, many times over.

I don't think it's too surprising once I figured it all out. It was $160 retail 6 years ago, when figures were $7/each. They've gone up to $10 by me. That's a 40+% increase. 40% increase on the Falcon would be ~$225, and now it's a TRU exclusive.
$250 is WAY too much for me, but that's how I'd explain the price.

I don't know if I could justify it for $180, but for sub-$100, I'm a happy fan. I picked up mine for 35.00 clearance at Target-- although I just paid 129 for the MTT- so it all evens out at some point.

$35 for the Falcon????!! You guys are killing me. Well, that settles it, I'm not going to pay the $200, even if it's a TRU Exclusive. I'll just have to hunt at conventions for a loose one or something.

I haven't found anything good during Target's Star Wars sale and that's a bummer. I paid nearly $250 for mine and that was 20% off a few weeks ago. I would definitely get it. I was the same way. That was the one toy I wanted as a kid for Christmas and I finally got mine 30 years later. It's going under the tree!

First: That's a huge discount off the $250, and you, sir, deserve major kudos for bringing it to the board's attention. If I didn't already have one, I think I'd be FREAKING out about getting one, and at this price, you'd have my undying gratitude.
Second: TRU seems to be going with a "mark the exclusives WAAAAAY up" tactic. I haven't paid much attention in the past, so I don't know if that's how it's always worked. However, I was looking at a GeoTrax table today that's $50 (marked down from $180), and it's basically a beginner GT set with three cheap plastic tables. I can't for the life of me see how that could EVER be $180... unless one were to mark it up so high that one could sell it to the rubes close to Christmas and make them feel like they'd just gotten something 65% off.
Is it possible the Falcon is in a similar situation?
