Those are pretty nice likenesses of the actors. I saw somewhere that Nick Fury uses 25th Anniversary Beachhead body so that's kinda cool.

I've been selectively picking from the 3" lines as I enjoy LEgends much more, but grabbed Dynamo and War Machine comic version at Walmart for $6.59 a pop. Awesome figs!

I feel kind of like I have to buy a female figure whenever I see one since they "don't sell." That BW looks good enough to spend some $$ on, though. If nothing else, the black body suit look will allow for customes of some kind. Add to that the fact that a good "clothed" figure (as opposed to "spandexed" figure) always works well in the spare-parts box...

I've had an unexplainable affinity for him since I saw him in a story in Marvel Comics Presents years ago. (Wow, does that date me) Quote: I might get that Tony just for the head, assuming it's easily removable. Makes me wish I had an extra of last years SDCC Destro for the business-suit body. I'm less enthused about Fury, as I don't have much use for the Ultimate version of the character.

Stingray dates me back even further, Sean. The first time I saw him was in Contest of Champions #1 in 1982. He had a very brief cameo among hundreds of characters where he speaks with Namor in a single panel. All I could think of was how cool his costume looked. It's never been changed since then, so I guess most artists who've drawn him agree with me. I don't care for Marvel's Ultimate Universe so I'll be getting the figure simply because it's a cool looking 3 3/4 Sam Jackson to display with my other guys. I do wish that the SDCC business suit Destro could be released again. The heads on the MU figures pop off real easy and these should work the same way. A "corporate attire" Tony is a no-brainer for this line, though. I wonder why Hasbro didn't think of it yet?

I opened up Iron Man and yes, there are a few issues. Well, make that a couple. The biggest is that (on mine) his neck is basically just a cut joint. And I have to play with his articulation, mostly the chest joint, to get him looking straight ahead, somewhat. I hope this is an issue with just mine, but I don't think it is.
The second problem I have is that I just get him to look right is a normal standing pose. It's odd, really. I don't know if it is the hips, or maybe a little warping of the right leg. Whatever it is, it makes him look a bit knock-kneed, so I am still searching for that perfect pose, the sweet spot on all the joints that make him look right.
I will open the rest of the figures between tonight and tomorrow. I had that same issue with War Machine's leg being warped. Also I am not all that crazy about belt of bullets that comes with it...it seems like it requires some force to keep it in the slots that you need it to go into. Dang...I should have posted the pics of the stuff I got over here....

Anybody seen actual IM2 figures on the shelves, yet?
I mean, characters that are actually in the sequel?
I did a little investigating yesterday:
#1-3,#7 = Iron Man One Movie Characters
#4-6 = Concept Armor Characters
#22-#26 = Comic Characters
So that probably means #8-21 are Iron Man 2 figures.
Some of those should be out today, right?

I found the new Iron Man 2 figures at Target today in Austin. They had about thirty of them, only about 10 were the comic series, which is what I was looking for. I got the only War Machine and one of the two Iron Man (classic). The rest of the comic series figures there were Stealth Iron Man and Mark I Iron Man, no Crimson Dynamo.
I was very pleased with both figures. In my opinion they are vastly superior to Marvel Universe and the 6.99 price tag is very reasonable. Excellent job Hasbro!

They're superior in every way except for the lack of a good ball-jointed neck.

So much about these figures impresses me. So much. Only the neck really bothers me. I can't wait for the Avengers movie so that we can get this quality for Avengers figures.

And hopefully a quality, classic Thor that the character deserves. I cannot stand my Secret Wars Thor...

I like these toys so much, I'm actually bummed that I've already bought all the ones I want. Now I'm trying to talk myself into movie-version Iron Monger just to fill the void.
