 Dude, I just about spit water all over my keyboard!

I just got MP-10 about a month or so ago, and he transforms pretty easily. Don't know about the earlier versions. Another one I hated was Darkmount. He went on eBay rather quickly.

If they're too complex, and fragile, it's just not worth it. It's a pain. I like a transformation that is engaging, but not awkward and difficult.

Shellhead's got it right. Transformers used to be MUCH simpler to transform and more fun to play with. Every time I get one of those Hasbro Commemorative rereleases like Optimus Prime, Soundwave, Blaster, the Insecticons, or Percepter I am always astounded at how easy and quick (and fun) they are.

I think what caused the current problem is the fact that the robot modes now have MUCH more articulation which translates to more part. I often knick my fingers when trying to do the harder and more fragile ones.

They should just do a classics line of straight up G1 releases. I would be all over that.

I remember getting the Classic Insecticons again. I was able to transform them all from memory! I might be able to do most of my Beastwars guys as well, but the Masterpiece and newer stuff, forget it. I leave most of the newer ones in robot mode (especially with the icky "Cybertronian" vehicle modes; I'm looking at you, new Combaticons!).

There has to be a happy medium somewhere. I don't want to go back to 80's technology, especially with the Combiners, but they do seem to be getting more and more complex.

Or maybe I'm just getting old!

I love the Masterpiece toys and they're pretty much all I buy Transformers-wise these days (outside of the occasional reissue or original G1 toy) but, yeah, I don't transform those things. Sideswipe/Red Alert wasn't too bad but I haven't done Soundwave, Prime, or Grimlock who came packaged in robot mode. Sad but true.

I got used to the logic of today's regular Transformers but I agree; some take way too long to transform. It was fun to mimic the Autobot convoy of the cartoons within a few minutes or less. It'd take an hour or so to do that now.

Hey, we wanted articulation and accuracy. This is the trade-off.

Eh, there's no reason to ever transform Soundwave. He almost never transformed in the cartoon.

Grimlock's worth the effort. He looks great in Dino mode.

But I'm a sucker for the various animal-types. Or as they are called in the show "The Primitives."

And when he did, it was into something so small it couldn't even interact with other Transformers.

Gotta get that SDCC tape-mode Soundwave from last year and some Joes to play with him then!

Springer and Blitzwing arrived from Amazon today. I can use reward points from my bank towards Amazon purchases so I got both for free at 22.99 each.

The shelves at all of my local stores are void of Generations Voyagers but nothing has shown up for weeks.

I dont usually pick Transformers up- (except for a very few)-- Rhinox, Ramhorn and Headstrong--

But the Botcon shown Rhinox is amazing-- and I guess I need to find someone who wants to split up Predaking...

Walked into a Target out in Pleasanton, CA. and they started doing their resets. I found the latest wave of Deluxe Transformers: Trailcutter, Bumblebee, Orion Pax, and Megatron. I picked up a Trailcutter. I'm tempted to pick up Orion Pax and Bumblebee. May pick up Bee next.

I had quite the haul from SDCC - Metroplex, MP Soundwave and the Joes/Transformers set.

It probably took me around 2.5 hours to get all the labels on Metroplex.

I got fortunate with Soundwave and a friend was able to get it for me. Otherwise I'd be part of the frantic retail search for him. Waking up at 4:30 am last Friday to be one of the first at Entertainment Earth's booth wasn't good enough to land him as they decided to allocate their limited quantities via raffle.

Picked up Generations Trailbreaker this past week, the only one from the wave I wanted.

Bring on Skids and Hoist!
