Lots of great stuff shown at NYCC this weekend. Very excited about the comic series line. Figured it was time to start it's own thread.
This is the place to discuss the upcoming Cap stuff...movie series ('though we haven't seen much yet) and comic series.

As others mentioned in the MU thread (and another thread about Cap's belt), it's good to see him in his iconic look from the comics. It's also great to finally see him in vibrant colors. The MU version almost looks acid washed. The vehicle was awesome too. My favorite was the one with the parachute. That's a must have for me.

I am again looking forward to the comic line, although I struggle to think of who will be in it -- The Falcon? D-Man? Baron Zemo? Others from The Masters of Evil?

Heck, I would even take a figure of the ridiculous Cap-armor from the 90s. Hated it in the books, but it could make for a cool figure.

Oh man, if they focused heavily on the "comic series" part of the line (which I don't expect them to), the possibilities for cool toys are staggering. Baron Blood, Paladin, Arnim Zola, Sharon Carter (be great if she had a uniform similar to the MU's SHIELD toys), Nomad, Batroc the Leaper, Baron Strucker, a modern Red Skull, a Watchdog army builder, an Ultimatum army builder.... Hell, the Serpent Society alone could carry this line.

And taking their cue from the MU Gigantic Battles maybe they could make the Ameridroid.
I'd love to see Red Skull in his green jumpsuit.

YES! And he would have to come with the Cosmic Cube.

A working Cosmic Cube, please. For $7.99 MAX, or it's a rip-off.

90's cap armor I would be very happy with.
Skull is a must have, I would place even money on Green Jumpsuit.
I would LOOOOVE to see a Red Guardian, its a slim chance but at the same time its a simple repaint of US Agent (who we have seen) with a slightly altered head. It seems to fit with Hasbro's "repaint-o-paloosa" so I can't help but think there is an even chance.
Baron Zemo is a long requested figure, so I don't see a good reason not to include him.
Why not his alter Ego-Citizen V!
To finish off the Invaders, why not Spitfire?
A guy can dream.

The Red Skull could wind up in a suit, green jumpsuit, and Nazi uniform (like his Invaders figure).
I suppose I could customize my own Commie Smasher Captain America. Maybe we could get a Grand Director!

I'm really excited about this line, especially if it's as good as the IM2 line. I'll definitely be picking up one of each Comic Cap. Hopefully the line won't be too heavy on Cap at the expense of some villians though, like the IM2 line tends to be.
The one very small design choice I don't really like though is the use of pegs on the shields to mount them on the figures' backs. I think the elastic straps they used on the MU Cap works just fine, and doesn't require an unsightly hole in the back of the figure. Still, I'm sure I'll forgive it quite quickly once the figures are out and in hand.
