Alas no comic figures for the Thor line for now :(

Guess it's just the Destroyer for me as well.

Figures I am interested in are the following:

Sif, Volstagg, Fandral, Hogun, Heimdall, Destroyer (Not sure which version yet I like the best) - and most probably the Ice Giants.

For Fodder:
Either Odin Head (Just the Head)
Either Loki Head (Just the Head)
Any Unhelmeted Head of Thor (Just the Head)

NOTE: Now I am disappointed with this line because they aren't doing Comic Characters as well, just yet but hopefully we will get to see some Comic Characters down the line.

I was disappointed in not seeing a comic line as well. But I will be getting pretty much everything in this line. The only exception being all the different versions of Thor. Hell, even that's subject to change once I see them on the pegs.

If thats the situation-- might as well by the case direct from Hasbro- then pick up 6 other figures at Target and exchange them out..

i saw a case being opened today at target, 9 Thors, 1 Loki, 1 Odin, and 1 frost giant (same height as the other figures). I picked up 1 Thor with a cape, that actually wasn't bad and the frost giant...I didnt really like the others.

My only guaranteed figures will be a few Frost Giants (IF I can find them). I have enough Thors as it is, although some of the Warriors Three look good.

I will keep an eye out for frost giants if you like, with all the MU running around, i may see some more of them.

I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across the new Thor movie line at the local Target this week. I picked up a couple of the Thor varieties, and found one to be terrific, and one to be less so. But the one consistent feature was the terrific sculpting.

You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading, and have a terrific weekend!

Wow, I've been out of the loop; I had no idea these were out (coulda sworn I posted in this thread at some point so I'd be subscribed, but I guess not. *shrug*).

I saw Lightning Storm Thor at Target just an hour ago and left him there. Man o' Manischewitz, what a bad figure. And the back of the card outright lies to you about its articulation, as Michael noted.

I'll take a look for some Frost Giants (misnomer?) this weekend. Can't wait to dig through the inevitable overstock of Thors.

Good review, should help out a lot of people to avoid the LS Thor. I for one am overseas and have no choice but to order a case online to get the supporting characters but LS Thor is going straight to the thrash once I rip him out of the package for recycle.

Slightly off topic, how about that new trailer on the homepage?

Pretty sweet. I think Thor will do well this summer.

Yeah, I totally agree. I think it will do better than some may think. I for one have already set it in my mind to see the movie at least twice. I was always a big Thor fan growing up. I loved me some norse mythology. :D

That Thor preview was AMAZING. I'll be shocked if it's not the best comic book movie of the year.

Saw these on the peg Thursday at Target-- and passed (even on the frost giants)-- just nothing interesting there-- I really dislike movie style figures...
