They could be waiting for the christmas rush for toys, that would make sense seeing they will be aimed at kids first maybes collectors second.

These are now up for preorder at BBTS with a June and July shipping date set for the first two assortments. Only $5.99 a 2-pack seems pretty reasonable.
The Star Wars series is also set for a July release at BBTS.

Personally if the designs perfectly matched the look of the SHS video game i think they'd have a hit, Just add poseability to that design. As it stands i dont know if it is truly an upgrade of SHS. Its different.

They are on the Hasbro site. Shouldn't be too long before we see them. Webslinger wrote: Has anyone seen these popping up yet? It seems like my Target is clearing out all the old SHS stuff so hopefully soon they will have them instock soon. If anyone has found them can you post a review...

The two packs for these have surfaced at my LCS, albeit for the LCS-style price of $10/pack. :-/ We can't be far from seeing these in stores.

$10 is pretty high. I believe MSRP is $5.99. Hopefully they will show up at Target with their end of July toy aisle reset.
I'm actually looking forward to these and Star Wars

Just picked up the Marvel Superhero Adventures Spiderman/Green Goblin 2 pack and all I can say is WOW!!! Hasbro really capitalized on the Imaginext idea when they reinvented this line from SHS, I can't wait to get the rest as they had quickly sold and the pegs were empty!!!

I now have all three of the initial 2-packs plus the Ironman car and Wolverines jet. They are pretty sweet. Not as charming as Superhero Squad but more suited for kids to play with. I'm anxiously awaiting the second group of 2-packs with Cap.
I also picked up a nice load of the Star Wars ones on Tuesday. Maybe it's my imagination but they seem to be made a little better. Feel more sturdy.

I am really enjoying this line as well as the Star Wars versions too. And yes I think both those lines are made very well/sturdy.

SHS is dead, except for 3 packs that will be released next year to coincide with the Marvel movies.
SHA will not have the massive character selections that SHS had. They will keep the same basic 10-12 heroes and the major villians. This is considered a jumping on point for new young consumers, and Hasbro feels that none of them would know who Luke Cage or the Taskmaster are.
Those were direct answers from the Hasbro rep I talked to at SDCC

The only thing I wish they'd do with a line like this is do a basic buck with numerous different paint jobs representing different heroes/villains. I completely understand sticking with the major characters, but packing each vehicle with two figures - one major, one minor - would improve character selection without breaking the Playskool bank.
At the same time, I love the fact that at least one of the vehicle pack-in Iron Men is a different armor than the figure 2-pack. I'd like to see black Spidey and brown Wolvie (as well as USAgent) alternate paints for some of the vehicles.
(Bearing in mind the whole time, of course, that this is a collector making a wishlist for what is definitely a kids' line.)
