as i said in the other thread, went to wal mart really quick while my wife was shopping for shoes for the kids at Wss. Found a Cobra Commander. yay. Its all black, is that the actual color of all of them, or is that a wal mart exclusive idk. also stopped by the local target and found a cobra trooper. looks like collectors are really clearing the stores out of these figures, both stores were already picked over. I really wanted a red ninja, hopefully ill find one.

Saw the motorcycle packs with Snake-eyes and Firefly. That's it.

they are not the same quality as poc and even roc, the plastic feels like its for display only. If kids got a hold of these im sure they would fall apart easily with rough play. As mine are for display only Im happy

I found Cobra Commander, Snake-Eyes, and Storm Shadow last weekend. I had pre-ordered a pair of Red Ninjas from Kokomo Toys, and those were delivered Saturday. I headed out early yesterday morning and picked up both three-packs, a Zartan, six more Red Ninjas, two Cobra Troopers, one of each version of Cobra Commander, and one of each version of the G.I. JOE Trooper. Hoping to at least see wave 2 hit this year.

How do the new Red Ninjas compare to the 25th anniversary ones a few years ago?
Better? Worse? Or simply different?

Better? Worse? Or simply different? I'd just say different.

Went to my target that is less than a minute away, just to check to see if they got anymore figures in. The first time I looked at the pegs it was just a few Storm Shadows and Snake Eyes, But they did have a few vehicles. I went to look at the clearance joes to see if they went down in price. They didnt, so as I was leaving and I walked by the action figure aisle again and noticed an employee was putting more joe figures up! He had an entire box and let me look to see what he had. Picked up a red ninja and a gijoe trooper! Talk about great timing!

What are the case pack numbers, red ninja and joe troopers 1 to a case? Also is the C C variant a Walmart exclusive or something?

All the ones everyone wants are one to a case. Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Roadblock are 2 per case. Neither of the Cobra Commanders is exclusive. I've seen the black one at Target and TRU, and I've heard of the blue one being seen at TRU, Walmart, and Kmart.

Ive also seen the black CC at target and walmart. The case the guy was putting out has 1 gijoe trooper and one red ninja which I both promptly grabbed. it had a black CC too.

These seem to be fairly common in WNY where I'm currently vacationing.
Over the past couple days I picked up Cobra Commander (black), a Cobra trooper, and two Red Ninjas. Passed on the Joes. They're kinda meh compared to the POC/30th line IMO.
I do like CC's helmet. Kind of a Serpentor/classic CC mash up.
Dislike like the lesser articulation.

Some controversy here I admit, but something is fishy in Hasbro's way of handling the retaliaiton line (beyond the obvious I mean) so I thought I would jsut toss it out there. In the meantime DG Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow, Cobra Trooper and Retaliation Red Ninja also get some glowing reviews (for the most part). Enjoy. http://www.zedsjoesite.com/review/dgcob ... obras.html

You made a great point about the spring-loaded launchers. I agree with you totally. I'm sure some kids somewhere like them, but when I was a kid I always thought they were dumb. You shoot it once or twice and then move on with your life. Worse articulation, weaker paint jobs, just so we can get oversized guns that shoot? They suck in the Avengers line, too. And what's the deal with blue guns? And bright orange missiles? And the orange shove? Did Hasbro get a deal on neon-colored plastic or something?
