Well, I just received my 3 Ult Thors today and hmm, I cannot understand why Hasbro cannot make the comic versions to be inscale with the other MU figures or the newer MU figures. He's shorter than Cyclops. I can't use the arms, legs, boots for parts either, maybe the head. Yeah, yeah, the details on the figure are very good and yes, he is inscale with the other comic movie figures so yeah. But like someone said, he makes a darn good Sentry head, bearded or not. This has now made me compromise to leave my Sentry as he is, taller and Wonderman, as well. But now I have to "remake" Prince Namor to be inscale with the larger bodies, Ironman will need to be inscale or middled scale to work with both the smaller and larger figures. Silver Surfer as well for he is 6ft4, Vision, too, 6ft3, 300 lbs. I will have to scale the entire MU up, "inscale". Oh, the tragedy.

Yep, I changed my mind. That Ult Thor head don't look as good as I thought so I'm back to "my" original scale. I have someone already assigned to be my new Sentry and Wonderman.

So, it's all 3-3/4" stuff so far, but there are 6" figures due out pretty soon, right? Is there a handy list of what 6" Avengers products we can expect? I seem to recall from somewhere that the 6" lines would be divided up between various store exclusives, but I can't find much information about that anymore. Anybody out there got the straight dope?

I've seen pictures of the 6" ML style avengers figures in package, they were all missing their heads for some reason. They also had "only at walmart" stickers on them.
I haven't heard back on the source of the pictures and they were posted on the 1st, so I won't repost them here until I can confirm that they aren't some sick April Fools joke.

Hey, whaddaya know, I managed to find an update!

http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=14895

The short version - Wal*Mart exclusives, the first (only?) wave includes Captain America, Iron Man (repaint of the Mk VI), Thor (without helmet), Hulk, Hawkeye, and Loki. No sign of Black Widow yet.

Seriously I thought these were 3 3/4... so the action feature crap isn't the only 6" line, nice to know!

Even without any frame of reference, the "tell" for these is the articulation. That is, the 3 3/4 line has almost none, and these have some exceptional articulation. But I'm guessing you didn't look at them that closely.

I will get Iron Man and I'll probably get Hawkeye (since he's sporting that costume in some of the comics now).

Beyond that . . . meh.

Unless they do a Black Widow . . .

It looks like the 6inch line got the budget for the movie line because I'm pretty sure the movie line regardless of 6inch or 3 3/4 inch share the same budget. These look good though, real good.

That's really assuming a lot of someone. To just know form looking. I apologize for not being the toy connoisseur that you are.

I can guarantee you those are 6 inch.

See those hexagon things they're standing on? The ones that link together?

Those are Heroscape bases and they are about an inch across. If they were 3.75 inch, you could have fit an entire figure on one of those.
