According to a report on Rebelscum, Hasbro and Gentle Giant are collaborating on 6" Legends-style Star Wars figures.

I remember a previous rumor that such a line might be in the works for Disney Parks but that might be a separate deal.

So what do you think?

I'm excited at the prospect, despite being the first to poo-poo multiple scales and talk up the "fun" of 3.75" toys. My love of Star Wars trumps consistency.

I'd probably get Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper and call it a day.

You know you'll have to spring for 2 Stormtroopers.

Or maybe a Snow, Scout, and Stormtrooper.

But I just can't see myself diving full bore into these.

I mean, in the past several years Hasbro has done wonderfully articulated versions of just about everybody in the 3.75 scale.

So, a couple favorites of mine and that's it. A lot will depend on the price, too.

Definitely. So much so that I've been wondering if my Star Wars action figure collection is largely complete. I was never one that bought every obscure character anyway. There aren't many main characters (and even background characters) that can be done better at the 3.75" scale at this point.

I suppose the larger scale creates opportunities to add more detail and flexibility. Maybe every Jedi can have a hilt that clips on to their belt. Hasbro got close with that at the small scale but it was still inconsistent. I know many wouldn't agree but I'd hope for soft goods too. They tend to look better at the scale. BAF Jabba, anyone?
