That prototype doesn't look that great either, but, yeah it's gotten worse since then. That custom is all sorts of badass. Removing all that (unnecessary in my opinion) shading made a world of difference. The head sculpt is slick too.

Because it's Wonder Woman... have you seen the Black Widow custom on eBay? I've never had a nasty thought about an action figure till I saw that one!

I know the exact Black Widow custom you speak of. I'm not a big fan of customs but I am a fan of those...I mean that one.

Yeah, the guy used a Solomon Grundy head, drilled out the neck and repainted it. I'll have to see for myself on this one. I've heard he's much bigger than the ML one. Kind of wish Hasbro had gone the extra mile and made him a bit bigger than the rest of the team.

Include Fury or Black Widow in Hulk's place and make the Hulk a BAF would have been cool!

Maybe next time. Hasbro doesn't tend to take too many chances with their fledgling movie lines.

I saw the Marvel Select Avengers Hulk today, looked alright. Are those other figures Walmart exclusives? I live in NYC and we don't have a Walmart. Will Target/TRU not get these? I like my 4 inch Hulk but he we be replaced with the new Marvel Universe version.

Yeah sadly these are just Wal-Mart items... I call them eBay items right now but hopefully they will be all over Wal-Marts after Memorial Day. How do you live without a Wal-Mart?

I don't know. I go to Target sometimes but it's always a trek. I get by, but would love to have access to more figures. I used to have access to a car and would occasionally drive out to Walmart but Target and Toys R Us were always better for figures, back then even Kmart carried JLU.

I agree Wal-Mart isn't high on my list of resources but they're good for high profile film related things.

Really hope Iron Man is more in scale with them. Sad if he and the others aren't. Hulk would have been great as a BAF. Like you said, maybe next time.

Van Statten, I'd love to see how those Avengers figures look next to some Dark Knight Movie Masters. I'm tempted to get the Avengers to display with my other movie figures, but wasn't sure how they would look together.

New to the Marvel Avengers figs so forgive me for asking, but how come no Black Widow or Nick Fury in this set? Just wondering..

I'd say for this set they were going for the new looks and characters this time. Really would've prefered BW to Loki in the set. Fury didn't sell worth a crap last year (my Walmart's got at least a dozen of them rotting in the clearance aisle) so I'd say he won't be seeing a re-issue.

Thanks, man. Scale's just a little off for me. You saved me some money :-)
