Thor was already Marvel's Superman in many ways, especially in the pre-Simonson days. It's no mistake that it's Superman that Thor's paired against in JLA/Avengers.

The Sentry's original story was entertaining and interesting, but actually trying to keep him in the MU proper and use him? I don't think it's worked out so well.

Yeah but, I think during the JLA/Avengers story there was no Sentry then. I think he could have worked out if done right but that's that.

Yep, no problem. I would have missed the X-factor box set as well as if it were not for the email I received from Toysrus.

I'm not nuts, that's two completely different Rhino molds, right? A classic single-packed version and a repack from the Spidey line in the comics 2-pack?

Yup. You're not nuts (this time). The brain trust at Hasbro thought it would be a brilliant idea to sculpt a brand new Rhino and single card it, while shoving the Rhino that everyone has into at comic pack with Spidey.

Yet- that Rhino is now my number one wanted figure shown...

I love that new Rhino sculpt. He's a must have for me. It's just not a smart business move on Hasbro's part to not put the new sculpt in the comic pack.

Just another reason to say thanks again, billydj. I wanted this set so bad, and I totally would have missed it if not for you. I owe you one.

MYSTERIO. YEEEEESSSSSS.

Only Vulture and Sandman left to go, and Sandman from just about any scale works, as he can change size. VULTURE NOW, please, Hasbro.

In the old days- the only way he could control his power- was wearing that belt-- it was a dampener or inhibitor or something--

Wow! I am actually floored! I'm also a little misty eyed.

I would have never thought they would do Mysterio, never. Elektra is just so beautiful. That new Medusa body fits her well.

Hasbro, well done. You have my word as a Johnston, I will support you from now on 125%. I will still critique and offer suggestions but I will no longer belittle or outright complain. You have my word. :D

Yep, mine shipped today. No issues. I'm just glad it worked out. I didn't think it would sell out that fast, though.

I don't know if we can believe you, billy. Afterall, you pretty much made the same promise after they showed us Hercules.

Yay, Elektra. Or more accurately, yay me for not buying that Superhero Showdown Elektra like I'd once planned.

I couldn't make myself pull the trigger on that X-Factor set. The Sinister and Apocalypse are completely useless to me, and a perpetually-incomplete X-Factor team isn't that great a temptation.

THAT said...it'll be available in-store at some point in case I get non-buyer's remorse, right? :)

I don't mean to nag, but I really would recommend SHS Beast as the answer to the "incomplete" problem here. Personally, I'd much rather see the blue/red/no-fur X-Factor #5 Beast, but I can make a very nice-looking X-Factor #1 team using this set and SHS Beast.

And take it from me, who owned SHS Elektra for a year or so and was not even a little tempted to take her out of the package: She was U-G-L-Y, she ain't got no alibi, she's UGLY.

I totally agree in theory. In practice, I'll quit the hobby before I pay the prices he goes for on eBay.

As for human-looking Beasts, I think I'd actually prefer the brown and yellow costume to go with this set. :)
