I'll always be a Squadron Supreme fan. The closet thing Marvel had to a Watchmen in the 1980s.

Eh, I liked Exiles too, but to be honest I felt the concept had a built-in half-life to begin with.
Another great recent appearance of evil Hyperion was in Thunderbolts. What I found hilarious is that he was pretending to be a good version of Hyperion, and since nobody could keep all the alternate-reality-Squadron stuff straight, nobody could prove he was lying.

As a HUGE fan of the Squadron from the 80's series I am pumped about Hyperion...I was not aware he was considered a villain now (I've been out of comics a lllooonnnggg time) It does make me think a ML Nighthawk figure is possible...It would make a good variant to do both versions.

At best you'll get Knighthawk / Nighthawk since they made him in the MU scale. But I'll be shocked if they ever get to the others. Pleasantly so, but still shocked.

Dr. Spectrum would be pretty easy to make, I'd think, and he fought Iron Man back in the 70's so I'd be okay with that.
I only liked the Squadron as foils to the Avengers. I consider them one of the Top Ten Avengers foes.

Shellhead and I are completely simpatico re: Squadron Supreme.
(I mean, I liked the Gruenwald series too, but it didn't make me want to buy toys. Hell, neither did Watchmen)
And texgnome is right, Nighthawk is a possibility (maybe even his original costume as a variant), but the rest: not unless a real big SS fan at Hasbro gets to have some input on future convention exclusives.

I only liked the Squadron as foils to the Avengers. I consider them one of the Top Ten Avengers foes. You know... I was applaud by this as a fanboy until I also read that you count them in the top ten Avengers foes which makes up for the lack of love for the heroic squadron

Well, if you think about it, during the first 20 years of appearances in the Marvel Universe, they were getting their asses handed to them by the Avengers . . . . . . when the Defenders weren't busy doing the same. I just like 'em better as bad guys.

Here's a couple nuggets from actionfigurepics:
Hyperion is the varient of Sentry, so they'll swap out like Piledriver/Thunderball.
2012 Legends was supposed to be just 2 waves, but they dropped so close to each other and sold so well that they kitbashed a 3rd wave so we wouldn't have to wait until next year for more figures. That's why no BAF.
The wave 4 BAF will be in the case tomorrow.

The wave 4 BAF will be in the case tomorrow. Awesome sauce. Can't wait to see what it is, and whatever other surprises there may be for Legends and MU. I'm a little confused though. Did they not expect Legends to sell well? Just wondering why they would only plan to drop two waves in a year.
