In an unprecidented effort to provide more consistent support to the media dedicated to covering the iconic Star Wars toy line, Hasbro has established a weekly Q&A aimed at sharing the most up-to-date and accurate brand and product information available.

Every Friday by 5 PM ET, they have asked that I submit questions that you AFI readers would like posed to the Star Wars brand team. (No more than three questions from each participating site per week)

All questions submitted will be reviewed and answers to a select few will be posted on www.Hasbro.com/StarWars the following Friday afternoon. Though only a sampling of all questions received will be posted to Hasbro’s site each week, they will make their best effort to respond directly to each editor with answers to all submitted questions.

This is a big step for Hasbro I feel, and I'm excited to see how this kind of thinking will play out into their other brands.

AFI has been invited to participate. I'll leave this as a sticky and gather the questions from this thread. Each week I'll pull 3 to submit to Hasbro. So let's hear it. What do you want to know?

Let me be the first to say "I hope they do this with their Marvel stuff!"

This is a great move for Hasbro...and definitely there's a place for similiar interaction in their (upcoming) Marvel and GI Joe brands!

If the George-Trooper does well, can we mail-order more Senate pods and weapon packs?

What are the chances of seeing more Expanded Universe figures? The movies are pretty played out at this point, and until the two tv series get here in a couple years it'd be neat to branch out and cover some of the EU that alot of fans have been asking for.

Wow! Very cool of them to do this.

My question: have they considered doing a Marvel Legends-style Star Wars line?

I have questions!!

Let me first say, that I can't believe that 15 years later, I'm still excited about this line. The sculpts and the character selections have been awesome and the Saga packaging is the best ever!

1) Will they ever offer props sets like Cantina tables and glasses, Senate pods, Grevious ship monitors (like those that come with Lushros Dofine) or Bespin storage boxes (like those that come with Bespin Duel Vader)?

2) Is there anyway to offer previous pack-in characters as singles or mailaways? Bespin guard, Rebel pilots, etc.

3) Will we ever see the following OT characters? General Tagge, Tonnika Twins, Imperial Dignitary (the creepy old one w/ the bishop's hat), Lieutenant Daine Jir, Chief Bast, Captain Needa, Commander Praji, General Willard, Yavin rebel flight crew, Taym Dren-Garen, "padded shirt" skiff Weequay and Lieutenant J'ef Hsu?

4) Will we ever get the following badly needed OT trooper builder characters re-made: Generic Hoth Trooper, Generic Rebel Endor Trooper, Ewok warrior.

5) Will we ever get the following characters remade with more articulation/better sculpts? OT Grand Moff Tarkin, Death Squad Commander, Weequay?

6) Will we ever see an re-issue of the ridiculously hard to find Ralph McQuarrie concept Trooper? Will we ever see any more McQuarrie concept characters? (I need a Vader!!)

7) Can we please get a re-issue of the Y-wing fighter in it's original colors (yellow) - I missed it the first time around and it's my favorite OT ship. Also, can we get Lieutenant J'ef Hsu as the pack-in? - He's the Asian "bat-winged helmet" Y-wing pilot from ROTJ?

8 ) Gentle Giant is making some really cool OT animated statues. Can we PLEASE get figures based on these designs? That Boba Fett would totally rock!!

9) Will we ever get dioramas/playsets so we can display all of these great figures?

Whew. That's enough questions for now.

I also ask this question. Or something close to Legends. I prefer 6inch figures.

I really like the strides Hasbro has made in the last 2 years; when can we see new Evolution Packs?

And....more army builders for the Storm/Clonetroopers!

Will we be seeing less action feature and more articulation i.e. ROTS pilot Obi-wan?

Will our questions be answered Friday? I think that's how this works, great forum idea.

Although I think the fantastic VOTC/Evolution lines still have many, many more movie figures, especially from the new trilogy to make, I would very much be excited about Expanded Universe toys. The Knights of the Old Republic is perfect for a toy line.

I would like to know...

Any plans for Galactic Heroes passed the upcoming line (Wedge, Stormy Luke, Stormy Han) -- including Galactic Heroes vehicles or playsets?

Any plans to make a super-articulated prequel trilogy figures for: Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Mace, Jango, and Padme?

Any plans to make more Evolutions sets?

Excellent news!

Here's a few for next week!

1) Is there any chance of seeing New Jedi Order figures in the near future? Either as a spin off line (like Clone Wars) or as a wave or two in The Saga Collection.

2) Are there any plans to extend VOTC/VTSC past the 5 figures out now? Any chance of a Prequel Trilogy range in this style?

3) Will there be more Saga Collection figures this year after the Yavin wave?

I know the next 5 are: Bespin Luke, Jawa, Snowtrooper Hoth, Endor Leia, and another (yawn) Darth Vader.

I'd heard that as well, but right now that's nothing more than a rumor.
Just like the Yavin wave that was supposed to come out after the Naboo wave later this year.

Personally I'm guessing both are real with the Yavin wave leading the rumored OTC2 later this year and the second wave of VTSC coming out about the same time. Both naturally tying in with the new DVDs and kick starting the 30th celebrations a few months early.

But confirmation would be nice
