I'm already all a'tingle at the thought of Joes 25th Anniversary this year. I just read this at TNI: Quote: Hasbro has announced that starting this summer, they will release 25 collectible 3 3/4" figures to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of G.I. JOE VS. COBRA.
It was said by Hasbro representitives at this past summers G.I.Joe convention, that these figures would sport more articulation then any G.I.Joe figure before it. Stay tuned as more details on these become available. http://www.toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=9&itemid=10708I've heard these figures are supposed to be amazing...can't wait to see them! Jeff

I imagine this will be a very hard line to resist. I'm a sucker for Zartan and with 25 figures I'm sure he'll be there.

i definitely can't wait for these. I think these may be the definitive versions for some classic characters. On another board I read that one of the unconfirmed rumors is that it won't just be from the 1st year but spanning the first 5-6 years so you figure some of the major cobra baddies like Destro, Baroness, Storm SHadow, Zartan and Cobra Commander and Firefly will make the cut as well Duke, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Gung Ho and Roadblock.

I imagine these to either look like shrunken down Sigma Six figures or like microman figures, the latter could work because of Hasbro's relationship with Takara with Transformers, or they could be like mimiature Marvel Legends. I wonder If they will have vintage style packaging ALA Star Wars.

Hopefully with better construction.

I don't know why you would assume that. Hasbro has much more experience with 3-3/4" figures than TB had with Showdown. Look for these to been more akin to the Star Wars VOTC. Jeff

That's the first assortment according to the hasbro toy listings I got from work. Hope that helps. http://forums.toynewsi.com/index.php?showtopic=2030212#I don't know the poster and cannot speak to the truthfulness of this, just posted it for conversations sake. Jeff
