Does anyone know if this store display was in scale to the 3 3/4 figures of the star wars line? Anybody actually own one and display it?

A friend of mine had one and it's sort-of in scale with the 3 3/4" stuff in a super-deformed kind of way... It's probably about the right size but the proportions are way off since the piece was just scaled up from the vintage toy and not a new, proportional sculpt.

Weird thing about those Falcons. I wanted one bad, but was told they weren't for sale and had to be returned. No one ever told me they had a contest where you could win it.
According to my brother, whose co-worker has one, if you won a Falcon it could be from any store, not just the one you entered the contest at. His was from somewhere in the midwest, and it cost him about $200 to have it shipped! Apparently some people refused to pay shipping or never responded to the notification letter because it looked very unofficial. Many Falcons went unclaimed, and some people were able to get them from their local TRU for next to nothing.

Well, since some of us missed out, Ive decided to build my own play MF. Im using a 26 inch wide saucer from the snow discs that are available here in the supermarket and trus of Jersey. Is it extraordinaire, no, but its big and its looking to be fun. Im using a cannister that is similar to the cockpit from the original concept paintings by MacQuarrie. Ive checked for 38 inch discs but none to be found that have the curved body that I want. Putting these two discs together and some other stuff that I have, should give me a fun to use larger ship. I would still love to have the extraordinaire, but in the meantime, Ill just have some fun and make a smaller version of the falcon. Ill post pics on my progress in the custom section. Thanks guys.
later

Wonder if Hasbro would ever re-use the mold to make it again, but without it weighing 70 lbs, outer shell, some wiring and styrofoam for support, Im sure star wars fans would definately be interested in owning a big falcon. Just a thought.
