Q1. What have you found to be Hasbro's biggest challenge in taking over the Marvel Legends line?
A) Great question. One challenge on a line like this is finding the balance between collector focus and mass market appeal. We're trying hard to cater to the collector "wish-lists" while still maintaining a healthy mix of A-list characters in order to keep things moving at retail.

Q2. Which of Toy Biz/Marvel Toy's Marvel Legends sculptors do you continue to use? Who are the new sculptors for the line?
A) We use both Hasbro and Toy Biz sculptors, but we believe it's important to point out that the culmination of the product line is ultimately a team effort. There are so many people that have contributed to the line - from concept creation to design, sclupting, painting ...etc .. and all the way through to final production ... the list would be as long as any movie credits ... and we wouldn't want to leave anyone off the list!

Q3. Is there any hope at all for rebooting some of the tail end items that Toy Biz was not able to fit into their run such as: the AIM, Hellfire, Hydra goons and the Build-A-Figure of the Avengers Quinjet?
A) There is hope! In fact, the Hydra Soldier is already in the 2007 line-up! This slippery bunch will be hitting stores this Fall. Can't get specific about the others but we will say that the BAF Quinjet is unlikely at this point.

Q4. Has Hasbro considered a 3-3/4" Marvel line?

A) It has been considered. We're constantly discussing new concepts & ideas…the bigger question is whether that is something that collectors & fans would like to see. Perhaps AFI could Poll collector's on this idea?

Q5. Will we ever see rereleases of hard to find or older legends? Like Toy Biz molds of series one IronMan, Deadpool, Juggernaut? Or hard to find tail-end figures like FFC2 Dragon Man on Kang?
A) While we can't talk specifically about future waves yet, we can say this --- There is a strong possibility that several old favorites could be revived. Stay tuned in 2008!

Just in Time For Comic Con- Here is Round 2!

Q1. Will the “Spiderman and Friends” line continue beyond the 3 currently in stores?
A: Definitely, you'll see plenty of new products in 2007

Q2. Will future Marvel Legend waves be eight figures or will they vary?

A: The number of figures per wave waves will vary.

Q3. Does Hasbro have the rights to produce a Rom action figure in the Marvel Legends line?
A: We haven't specifically looked into this as we don't have any plans for a ROM in the near future.

Q4: Any Marvel Legends box sets in the future?
A: Yes, you'll see 2 awesome boxed 2-Packs coming out this Fall.

Q5: Any chance of the Comics reappearing in the ML packaging?

A: There's always a chance, but no plans for 2007.

Q1- Will the newly announced store exclusives (such as Domino/ Cable, Black Queen, etc.) be available on the Hasbro website in the same way as convention exclusives are?

A: The 2 packs will only be available at Wal-Mart and the Black Queen can only be found at Toys R' Us.

Q2- Will there be some fan input into future lines? Boxed sets?? Have
an online vote for say Alpha Flight* vs New Warriors* pre civil war.

A: Glad you asked! TOY FARE magazine is kicking off an exciting Marvel
Legends fan poll as we speak…look for it in this month's issue as well as on their website! Then get out there and cast your vote!

Q3- With the announcement of Astonishing X-Men Beast, great looking figure by the way, that completes the Astonishing X-Men team. Since we've also gotten Danger, are there any plans to flesh out the rest of the Astonishing X-Men villains side with Ord and Cassandra Nova?

A: We don't have any plans to include these two in the near future but we can say this….we love Astonishing X-Men and our list of potential future characters will continue to include other characters from this run!

Q4- There seems to be a lot of focus from you guys on The Age of
Apocalypse, will we be seeing characters from that storyline popping up regularly in the figure line? I'd almost kill for the 3rd Beast figure you guys make to be Dark Beast from the Age of Apocalypse.

A: AOA is a great, rich story with some truly awesome variations of our favorite heroes and villains. Dark Beast is a great character and always a future possibility…I think we were all excited to see that he's recently resurfaced in some current issues! That said, with one Beast already hitting shelves in February...you'll have to be patient on this one!

Q5- Will Hasbro be doing a figure line for the upcoming "Wolverine and the X-Men" Animated Series? It sounds like that most of the X-Men will be featured in supporting roles in the series. So it would be cool to see an Animated Figure styled line. Much like TB's X-Men Evolution.

A: We can't discuss details on any plans for 2008 right now.

Dunno. I sent in the last batch of questions over a month ago around the time they were supposed to send the answers back we all got a short email saying the Q&A was on indefinite hold.

Haven't heard anything further.
