Details Are In for I Spit On Your Grave Too

by ShockTillYouDrop

October 23, 2012

Steven Monroe is returning to direct a sequel to his remake for I Spit On Your Grave. With the American Film Market coming up, details have been released for I Spit On Your Grave Too.

Production is expected to begin next month and, this time, the film centers on "naturally beautiful" Jessica who has just settled into New York where she, like many other young women, is trying to make it as a model.

But what starts out as an innocent and simple photo shoot soon turns into something disturbingly unthinkable. snoogled, tortured and kidnapped to a foreign country, Jessica is buried alive and left to die. Against all odds, she manages to escape. Severely injured, she will have to tap into the darkest places of the human psyche to not only survive, but to exact her revenge.

Thomas Fenton penned the script; he also credited for the story for Saw IV.

The 2010 remake of I Spit On Your Grave starred Sarah Butler.

Trailer for Entity Delivers More Found Footage Horrors

by ShockTillYouDrop

October 23, 2012

Today, we present the trailer for Entity - no, not The Entity - a found footage entry written and directed by Steve Stone, who is making his feature debut. The film is being touted at the American Film Market this year and you can find the preview after the jump.

Synopsis: In 1998, thirty four unidentified bodies were found in shallow graves in a remote Siberian forest. After subsequent investigations, no official explanation by the Russian authorities was ever offered about the circumstances of the deaths. The case was closed. In 2010, a small English TV crew from the show 'Darkest Secrets' set out for the Siberian forest. 'Darkest Secrets' focuses on revisiting the sites of unsolved crimes and they employ the gifts of a psychic whose extraordinary powers may help shed new light on cold cases. The last communication to their production office in London stated that they were approaching the Siberian region where the bodies were found. Nothing was heard from them again. 'Entity' is the story of what happened to them. The forest was only the beginning....

Here's a Teaser for the Trailer for the Evil Dead Remake

by ShockTillYouDrop

October 23, 2012

Teasers for trailers are here to stay. We saw one recently hit a few days ago touting this morning's Iron Man 3 trailer, now, we're getting one for next year's Evil Dead remake. Inside, you'll find the Evil Dead teaser which cobbles together clips from the New York Comic-Con panel and footage from the film. The official trailer debut arrives tomorrow (October 24th).

Directed by Fede Alvarez, produced by Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert and starring Jane Levy, the remake follows five twenty-something friends who become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead. An archaeologist's tape recording reveals that the ancient text was discovered among the Khandarian ruins of a Sumerian civilization. Playing the taped incantations, the youths unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

by ShockTillYouDrop

October 24, 2012

Shooting has begun on BBC America's new original series Orphan Black. Maria Doyle Kennedy (Downton Abbey), Dylan Bruce (The Bay), Jordan Gavaris, Kevin Hanchard, Michael Mando, Elizabeth Saunders and Ron Lea also star.

The series is shooting on location and in studio in Toronto, Ontario through February 2013.

The Pact's Nicholas McCarthy to Direct Home

by ShockTillYouDrop

October 24, 2012

One film that rather surprised this writer earlier this year was Nicholas McCarthy's The Pact, which made its premiere at Sundance and was later released in a limited theatrical run. The writer-director is now moving forward with a new film that will be entitled Home, reports Screen Daily.

According to Screen Daily, Home centers "on a young woman who investigates an incident that took place in a house where a previous occupant unwittingly summoned the Devil."

McCarthy will direct and Sonny Mallhi (The Strangers) is producing.

Wes Bentley and More Join Abigail Breslin in Final Girl

Source: ComingSoon

October 23, 2012

ShockTillYouDrop reports that Wes Bentley, Logan Huffman, Michael Trevino, Connor Paolo and Francesca Eastwood are joining Abigail Breslin and Alexander Ludwig for the upcoming Tyler Shields-directed film Final Girl. "Final Girl" is a popular term in the genre, representing the final girl standing at the end of a slasher film.

In the film, Loner Veronica is new to school, shy and vulnerable, the perfect target for a group of teenage boys who lure girls into the woods to hunt and kill them for sport. It’s only after they get her alone that she turns the tables on them, escaping and revealing she’s armed and knows how to defend herself. Little do they know, Veronica is an assassin-in-training, and she’s chosen killing these boys as her final test. When the dust clears, Veronica will find out if she can be the final girl these boys ever have a chance to hurt.

Shooting is expected to begin next month; the film is being pushed at the American Film Market this year.
