This has been an interesting and educational series of shows, but you might think it has nothing to do with collecting, toys, or action figures. Wrong. As I have mentioned in the Kreo thread, there were a couple of Kreo coupons in last Sundays paper, one for a FREE Transformer Micro-changer. Well as couponing has evolved, most stores have adapted policy to limit it's application, for example limiting the number of a coupon that can be used in a single transaction, but apparently TRU has not learned about this yet as I was able to get 11 figures at $2.99 with 10 coupons worth "up to" $3.49 each without paying a penny in a single transaction. Now THAT is extreme!

I'm moving this to the Water Cooler. This thread is less about the show and more about Mudd ...

No, it is more about saving money on toys using coupons, based on strategies I learned watching the show.

I had 9 coupons. I got 9 Kreon micro changers and 1 MIB figure @ $4.98. The Kreons were BOGO 40% off at $2.99. The coupon scanned at $3.49. Total cost $31.41 before tax. Total coupon value $31.41. It says at the bottom I saved $3.47. CCC.

If they didn't intend the coupons to be used, they wouldn't print them.

I doubt they intended for one person to use so many of them. But hey, to each their own. I didn't say it was illegal or anything. Just in bad taste, especially if a parent clipped one and now can't find any because you scooped 'em all up.

So I am reading my OAFE newsletter to see what they reviewed and how many mistakes they made in their reviews and I notice 2 things. 1. They reviewed a new GIJoe Oktober Guard figure. Funny thing, if you paint a little mustache on him you have Hitler. Might be a good thing for JSA/Invaders figure collectors/customizers. 2. The guy who reviews everything he buys posted his budget for last year. He states he was way over, gives a breakdown, and states he hopes to do better next year. Reading this reminded me of how many coupons I used in 2010, mainly the $5 off coupons from Hasbro in the IM2 figures, and the fact that I have not seen many action figure coupons in the last 2 years. I hope this changes for the better in 2013.

I will admit to using for fair share of IM2 coupons. But only one at a time.
