I was just looking at this guy again, and what a great figure he looks like he would've been. I remember seeing him years ago and being so disappointed that they never produced him.
Jason, is this prototype part of your collection or someone else's? I would love to get a cast of him if possible...

It's either Timothy C's or it's Tommy Garvey's. I don't think it's Derek Ho's.
Let me check...I know I have that info somewhere.
Peace,
Chip

Congrats Joe!
I saw that earlier...a great piece.
JT is a nice guy to deal with, too.
Take more pics when it comes in!
Peace,
Chip

Thanks! I will definitely take more pictures when it arrives. This piece combines two of my obsessions - The Flash and Super Powers-related Kenner action figures. I am sooo excited about it. It's one of those things that I saw years and years ago and thought, 'There's no way in Hell I'll ever own a copy of this.' Dreams can come true!

This is interesting.
It's not the dynacast piece that's been changing hands over the years, but the time and location lead me to believe it's part of the same batch that got cast of Man-Bats, Catwomans, and Quadrexes. All of these white resin castings are of the same vintage, same location, and same material. I'm guessing that an ex-Kenner employee cast (or swiped) a handful of prototypes before leaving Kenner, and then sold them all at a few Chicago shows in the early/mid 1990s.
Never seen this Flash one before, but the timing totally makes sense. Wish we could get confirmation on what exactly that Catwoman was sculpted for, though. My best guess at this point is for the Batman Returns line, way before casting took place.

I came home from work yesterday to find this waiting for me! I was really surprised at how big it was (that's what she said). It looks fantastic. So excited to have this. I'm thinking about either figuring out how to make casts of him or having someone else do it. If I did this, would anyone else be interested in a cast of this figure?

Yup, sign me up for one.
I'd contact Spy Magician since he did such an excellent job with the Hal head and the BB Stalker.
Peace,
Chip

That's exactly who I was going to contact. I'll email him now while I'm thinking about it and see what he says.

He may be big, but he's finished in a Flash. (That's what she said)

Why does the figure have nipples, when the costume didn't?

I don't think they're meant to be nipples. I think those are imperfections as a result of the casting process. Then again, I'm not entirely sure how that process works, so I could be mistaken.
