You're going fast and furious at this! Looks great.
Thanks for the wonderful photos.
LOL.... thanks for the compliments. Actually, all of this so far is just one purchase, with the exception of Clark Kent which i got of eBay. I guess here at the beginning, when starting with nothing, i kinda took the "carpet bomb" approach .
Wait until you see the next round .

Thanks. Yes, the Canadian slim cards are in pretty much case fresh condition, i am very pleased with them. As far as the more beat up cards, i was going to open them and use them to help fill my "loose" collection.... but plans may have changed slightly. Stay tuned!

There was someone on eBay selling a complete set in individual auctions...did you see that?
He had Reddy, J'onn, Ronnie, and Hal as well as the common ones.
AND, just so you have a goal here...
By the way, that Wonder Woman was the first Super Powers item in my collection. September 7th, 2008.
Peace,
Chip

No i didn't see the eBay auction for those. I am trying to stay away from eBay..... well sort of LOL....... until i'm better positioned to start looking for and actually bidding on some carded figures. I'm mostly looking at the loose stuff for now.
I really like that pic....... thanks for the inspiration Chip! Someday i'm going to have to ask you about how/what you're using to display them. I gotta find room in the house first.
That's funny looking at the cape on your Robin. Mine was the same way but he is the one that had the bubble coming loose on three sides so i was able to fix it .

Very nice start to a collection. The more I read about Super Powers, I appreciate them more. Of course this perspective is based on the 80's being the best decade for toys period. So many great lines were produced or extended during the early to late part of this decade. Looking forward to more pictures.

That's it! That's all I can stand, I can't stands no more!
I'm in. I'm starting my collection now too. Mine will be loose (and only loose) but I'm starting it now. You've all sucked me in.
Thanks a lot.

More Super Powers goodness added to my collection today . All of these guy were in pretty good condition, some of them looked fresh out of the blister pack. Here they are:
Joker w/mallet and Penguin w/umbrella
Batman and Robin
Flash, Superman, and Wonder Woman (missing lasso)
Aquaman w/trident and Green Lantern w/lantern
Hawkman w/mace and Green Arrow w/bow and arrow (one arrow missing)
Lex Luthor and Brainiac
Martian Manhunter and Dr. Fate
Mantis, Firestorm, Samurai w/dagger, and Orion
The only casualties from this bunch- Kalibak w/beta club and Darkseid. Thankfully i have both of them in good shape from the previous lot i bought.
There's more but i ran out of time taking pictures. I did snap a couple quick shots of some misc stuff though:
Secret Wars Turbo Cycle
Secret Wars Coloring Book
Superman Pop-up Book
DC Secret Origin Mini-comics. Can anyone give me any background on these?
This one still had the candy in it!
Spider-man, Superman, and Batman & Robin Duncan Yo-Yo's

Man, this makes me want to collect the line all over again!
I know the carded stuff is really, really, nice, but to me nothing beats a loose collection of these guys.

Those loose figures look to be in great shape! Well, Darkseid and Kalibak aside. Great score, man!
If you've no use for broken Kalibak or Darkseid, I'd take them off your hands. Let me know

Thanks for the comments guys. And Joe, i'll let you know if i decide to get rid of any broken ones.
I've been waiting on Red Tornado and he arrived today. I'm down to only needing 10 figures to complete my loose collection .
