I've been wanting to collect these for a long time now, and finally saw a decent priced acution, with a buy it now or best offer. The Buy It Now was $29.99, I offered him 25 and he accepted. I still have to pick up the other 3 weapons, which is probably going to be tough, and the light cycles, but there's only the 4 figures and the light cycles, so it shouldn't take too long to complete, then I'll worry about Carded examples. Here's the auction I won:

You could always pick up the NECA re-releases for the weapons.
I would think it would be hard knowing what you are getting when youbuy loose TRON figures becasue of those re-releases.

I had 3 of the vintage TRON figures and completed the set with one of the rereleases. I still didn't have the Warrior's staff but found a Warrior with staff at a local toy show last year. So I bought him (for the staff) but a while later I looked down and realized at some point I had dropped the staff!!! I thoroughly retraced my steps and actually did find it underneath another dealer's table! Whew.
Anyway, the lightcycles can be a bit pricey but they are really cool. I totally remember playing with mine as a kid and now, thanks to you and this thread, I want to get one again!

Random TRON memory...... (cue the windchimes, and out of focus camera)......
I was but a lad, who would grab a quarter from the change cup in the station wagon before going into the grocery store. While Mom shopped, I went over to the front of the store, and at the end of the aisles, by a support column was a small TRON video game. It was the cycle game, where you wall in the enemy. Hard to pull off, but a lot of fun.
It always ended with a run over to mom begging for another quarter.

I would guess the new ones are probably stamped differently. There's a comparison guide for the Tomy and NECA stuff online somewhere that I surfed into not too long ago.

I don't believe Tomy even produces action figures anymore but I remember when they tried their hand with this line. The movie had just been released and a kid at school brought one of the figures to class. Clear plastic is always a cool concept for me when it comes to toys although I've never picked up any of these guys to this day.
Once the sequel is here though, things might change...

These were cool figures. I think they were the one who made me love translucent toys.

Love how they look, especially up against the "magma" baddies.

Crystar and Warbow were very neat translucent figures. I also loved how Feldspar was half crystal/volcanic to reflect his neutrality. The Fisher-Price lady android pops up carded from time to time on eBay and I've thought of bidding on her just for nostalgia's sake.

That's her! I've seen auctions for X-Ray Woman at least three times in the last six months. She's easy to find but someone always bids on her. I bet the entire Fisher-Price line will become pretty desirable as time passes further.
