V.S. Which did you prefer if any? It’s a hard decision for me. I played with both extensively… even battling the two over technical superiority. The z-Bots had much better vehicles in my opinion, while the Battle Beasts (while all looking generically similar) were a cooler idea that actually had clans and such. Like I said, it’s a hard decision. What do you think?

Fighting the two was epic. I was around 5 or 6 when they were both popular. I can remember kids collecting and trading them almost like trading cards. Battle beasts are definitely a more expensive toy right now in comparison with Z-Bots.
If I had money to burn and no wife to yell at me I'd have the full sets of each, to be honest.

Battle Beast! I'm a Transformers fan through and through so I need to side with them!

Battle Beasts, no question. I'd LOVE to have a big collection of them, but their really getting up there in price, especially if you're a completist and want the Laser beasts and all the rare vehicles and the rare figures like Stone Carp or whatever his name is, etc.

FYI For all you Battle Beast geeks like me, Diamond Select Toys bought the rights to Battle Beasts from Hasbro a couple years ago. Diamond Select is the company that makes the Minimates. Anyway... They've been showing a concept figure called Gator Guard. No others have surfaced yet, but I'm hopeful for a complete line. Honestly, while it has more detail, I'm not feeling it to much. Give me the old ones over this. Could be good though. Cross your fingers.

Yeah, I love those little guys.
That's actually my collection in that pic I posted. I need to take an updated one. I added the red gator JASON ANTHONY posted and I've got 9 Laser Beasts now. I also have from the Chariots the Battling Deer Stalker, and the Battling Big Horn. From the Playsets I have the Blazing Eagle, and Wood Beetle missing some parts.

Dare I ask how much your collection is worth?

Man, I couldn't tell you how much all of them are worth. I know they're worth more than what I paid for them, though! I started collection them before they got really hot.
I was able to score some nice lots on Ebay and I was finding them at Flea Markets and toy shows pretty cheap.
The Laser Beasts are pretty tough, though. Even then I haven't paid more than $15 each for any of the ones I have. I paid as low as 3 bucks each for a few of them!

My son deserves the whole set.
Let me see if I can do it without his mother finding out.

They're pretty hard to get cheap, but not impossible. Depends on how patient you are... Edit: Updated collection pics!
