My wife collects Space Lego, she has tons of it. I have to admit that I live vicariously through her on these because they are some of the coolest toys ever. I love the little cars and the jolly spacemen.

Oooo... nice. I have everyone of those sets you show... and more. They are in several large boxes in my folks attic. Dunno if I was a smart enough kid to keep the instructions though... mmmm... I might want to look for those next time I'm back there.

Wow, I'm jealous! I've written down everything I had that I can remember when I was a kid, and the memorabilia room WILL include all these space sets...when I see them on eBay, I'll be paying whatever I can to get them.

Peace,

Chip

Let's see...

G.I. Joe Astronaut and Adventure Team
Mego Superheroes (the toys really responsible for this sickness I have...)
Adventure People
Six Million Dollar Man
Star Wars
Micronauts
Big Jim (regular and P.A.C.K.)
Kenner SSPs
Gabriel Lone Ranger
Hot Wheels
Matchbox
Topper Ding-a-Lings (robots that ran on a monorail track)
Whizzers (and the cars that they'd run)
Zeroids
Playschool Sesame Street puppets
Fisher Price Muppet Show plush
and I absolutely loved paper doll books 'cause I could go off and create superhero costumes for them... I know, I was a *WEIRD* child... not much has changed, really... :(

I could mention all the stuff I played with before any of you were even born

Dinosaur Bones
Rocks
Sticks
Bones
Sabertooth Dung

But when my oldest son was born I was able to play with toys that were supposed to be his.

Nathan was big into Batman - megos, Super Powers, crummy asian knock-offs...

But his favorite was a Sears exclusive Batmobile Peddle Car.

Ask Daniel about it. I think he had one too...

THAT'S IT!

We actually saw the thing in a Sears store and Nathan was 3 or so. His eyes lit up and he ran and jumped in it.

When I picked him up he went nuts. I knew right then that it had to be the #1 gift from Santa....

I think we had that thing for about 10 years or so until he finally sold it in a garage sale. Now he kicks himself everytime he thinks about it. He kept it pretty pristine so it was in really good shape.

I wonder how many of them are around these days?

Yep. That was the best Christmas gift I ever got. I remember I actually woke up in the middle of the night, walked to the living room to see what Santa had brought, I saw that.... and I just sat in it silently for about a half hour. Then I wnet back to bed. Then in the morning I did my best "oh my gosh!" performance. I put a LOTTA miles on that thing keeping my neighborhood safe.

I was born in 1979, so I missed alot of the good stuff, but I did have a couple of Megos that were my cousins that were handed down.

So I'd have to say He-man was the thing that kicked off my toy habbits, but no I'm way off topic :)
