Hey anybody here ever collect Darkwing Duck figures or The Mighty Ducks animated series figures? The only figures I got as a kid were Darkwing Duck himself(with spinning hat) and Duke L'Orange from the Mighty Ducks. Duke was cool, kind of a purple-suited Nick Fury, if he was a duck.

Boy does writing this make me feel old... I bought the Dark Wing Duck for my oldest son and a couple of the Mighty Ducks figures. Can't remember which ones he had.
Wasn't there a Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers line as well? I seem to remember Nathan (my oldest son) having several of those toys as well...

Not that I know of, there was a Tail Spin line. Which reminds me, I have to search for those toys too.

Yes! I collected both lines, still have them all in fact. My DW collection is loose (including vehicles) but I kept the Mighty Ducks in their packages (wish I had gotten the Aerowing). I loved the figures from these lines, made me wish they had done a DuckTales line (big fan of Scrooge). I also have the DW items that you'd send away for from cereal boxes.
I'll try and post pics soon.

What really sucks is that there was an unproduced wave 3 of the Darkwing Duck line.
I beleive it was supposed to be Liquidator, Nega Duck, Quackerjack and Taurus Bulba....there are prototype pics floating around on the web somewhere.
Also sucks that all the Tale Spin Figures that were on the card were not produced--- I would still kill for a Wildcat figure......
I hope with the resurgence of the DVDs that someones creates a whole retro Disney afternoon line-- That would be so awesome.

Holy crap! Thanks for the links Stewbacca, never knew there was an unproduced wave. Always wanted Negaduck, Morgana, Gizmoduck, Liquidator and Quackerjack. These characters along with Gander and Gryzlikoff would have really fleshed out the collection.

I collected all of the figures and I would for the new line too. The amount of unproduced figures for both TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck was truly frustrating. Does anyone have a photobucket picture of the unproduced TaleSpins (including the aborted second wave?) I would have loved a Shere Khan and a Wildcat.

I would do just about anything for a Carl Barks Duck line. Imagine someone like NECA taking on Uncle Scrooge, Magica De Spell, Flintheart Glomgold, and company?

Me too! Especially if they did a real Gottfredson style Micky Mouse series, too.
What's odd is that JusToys did 3 series of Bend-Ems fashioned after 3 Gottfredson stories in the early 90s.
They looked like ass so I never picked them up, but an odd choice at that time period to base a toy line on.
J.

Yeah, I came across those on ebay a few months ago and they just made me want actual Barks and Gottfredson figures all the more.
Still, no one ever gives Horace Horsecollar any love, so that was a bit tempting.

By the way, love the avatar, Otter.

Wow, just found this thread! I have most of the Darkwing wave one figures, and I would love to see the unproduced wave! Anyone have the pic still? It's a shame they didn't get to the most interesting-looking figures.

I knew it'd be a good idea to save a copy. Here you go DanMan.
