Picked up part of the Real Ghostbusters wave 2--
I liked the Ghostbuster Sign Ghost-(multiple heads are a nice touch) -
I picked up the Evil Slimer/Sandman pack (still debating on opening that one or not)
Also picked up the Stay Puft Pack ----- anyone intersted in the Louis Tully?

Whoa! I didn't know that they did a Logo Ghost. I don't collect RGB, but I will have to try and grab that one.

I picked up the 2 TRU exclusive Marvel vs. Capcom sets yesterday. I don't know what the case pack out was, but I left behind 3 Iron Man sets, 1 Deadpool, 1 Hulk and 2 Magneto sets. If they. I don't know much about the Capcom characters, but I do collect Marvel, and there are some sweet Marvel mates coming in this line. Also, what does anybody think about the new Blue MAX jet being different from all the promo pics? I think it looks pretty cool.

I think the MAX line in general is pretty cool. All the minimate stuff -- BTTF Deloreans, Pirates, HALO -- is really great looking! I just don't have to room for anything more than Marvel and Movie Ghostbusters.

Over the last month, I have picked up the Galactus Heralds set and on Thursday, I found the latest TRU Marvel Series (companion set to Specialty Market Wave 42). I picked up 1st Appearance Thor & Balder, and Civil War Captain America & Crossbones.

I really like the Heralds pack, although I would have rather had Airwalker or Firelord instead of Galactus. What I'm currently looking for right now is Nimrod. Did he ever come out at retail?

Today was the first time I ever bought a MiniMate toy. They just didn't appeal to me at all. It was the Armored Thor and Beta Ray Bill and now I think this toyline is awesome. They're small, inexpensive and pretty darn articulated. They may not be comic accurate but the they are surely cool and fun to collect. Thanks Diamond Select.

The other nice thing is that DST keep recirculating the main Marvel characters so it's always possible for new fans to step into the line. They just announced a "Greatest Hits" wave earlier this month.

They just announced a "Greatest Hits" wave earlier this month. But that seems to be one of the biggest gripes of long time Marvel Minimate collectors. I don't mind. Toss in something different, like a bulkier body for characters like The Hulk or Thing, a new facial expression or battle damaged costume for Iron Man or Wolverine (they have gone a bit overboard on the Spider-Mans ) and I will happily take it, along with Sif or Balder the Brave, characters rarely or never made before in ANY line. I think the "Greatest Hits" sets are great too, because long timers can skip it, but new comers can grab the big names quickly and in one shot too. As long as they realize that these characters will pop up again in some form in later releases

I'll admit to griping about that, especially when they mix a tired rehash with a brand new character. Of course, that's how they get you! For example, in the new "Classics" set, that's an Iron Man suit that's never been done before. So could they pair him up with the Scott Lang Ant-man or the Kree Sentry? No. Of course not. They hook him up with Cap, who I already have 6 of. My current problem with the mates is that they aren't plumbing deep enough into the MU. Where's my Serpent Society? Where's my Mauler and the Raiders Armor Wars set? Where's my Batroc's Brigade set? Or my Lethal Legion? This is probably the only line that would eventually get to them, so . . . get to them!!!
