I have been waiting for this figure ever since it was shown at Toy Fair and NYCC. The release date 5/27/2009 comes and goes and no figure. Check up on the DST site and no word at all. Finally googled it and found a link to the page on the DST site where it says it's been cancelled. No explanation. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks.

DSTChuck said that pre-orders for the Borg figures were too low. DST uses pre-orders to gauge whether items are viable for production, but they still don't understand (and which many Trek collectors have been trying to point out to them) that most people stopped bothering to pre-order due to their consistent product cancellations and delays.

And this is the reason why they are running their Trek line into the ground. I don't see it lasting another year considering how many great figures they cancelled in 2008/2009. It's the same disappointment and frustration I went through when DST cancelled the last waves of Buffy/Angel.
