It's true.

I wish they would do more Avengers (Thor, please), but otherwise, I cannot resist these cute lil buggers.

I like the DC mates too, but wish we weren't saddled with the Legos, though I understand why.

I'm also a major mini mate fan. Was really urked that the Batman Begins C3 didn't find a home.

I believe they are planning on a Thor. They just haven't found a good place to stick him in yet. I think that's also the current situation with Thanos

Let's hope that's true. I think Thor is a must- he's just too darn much of a Marvel Icon to not be immortalized as a 'mate, regardless of his current comic status.

I knew about the Thanos, but have never heard rumors on Thor.

I have yet to see any pictures of the proposed Batman Begins mates, 4. Did they look good?

Although C3 looks grim, I still hope we see more DC Characters made.

Have to go with Skip on this one. I'm not sure who's to blame, AA or Play Along. But it looks like AA's rethinking the line on their end. I hang my hat alot over there and it's thunder and lightning when it comes to that line. Which is why I was so reluctant to start collecting them. But the Batfan in me caved in and bought most of the playsets. I'm still looking for the Batcave and Chemical Warehouse playsets  But eventually I'll get them. As far as Minimates, it seems that line has really taken it up a notch. Much like the latest ML stuff, so my wallet is showing the signs. I'm also enjoying the Palz line too. Didn't realize that X-Files was going to fly off the shelf so fast, but glad that Palisade is enjoying success with them. I tell you, it's like there are too many cool things coming out at one time. I can't keep up :D But I'm not complaining either

In talking with Art Asylum it's been really tough because:

a. it is SO expensive to engineer and manufacture construction sets that you have to sell a LOT of units to break even. You have to get the kids involved because just the collector market won't sustain it.

b. The construction set world is such a tough on to crack. Even the 500 lb gorilla in the field has stumbled a bit with their licensed sets and them not doing as well as they had hoped.

c. retailers are skeptical to take on the product because of a and b.
