Was rewatching the trilogy this past weekend & thought is was a damn shame that wave 3 was canceled. I've got the 1st two waves, but to have more would have been nice.

I think the LOTR minimates would've worked had they not changed the scale on the adult characters. They should've just tried to figure out a way of making smaller minimates. Even the solution they used for the Penguin (smaller shoes) would've been good.

Perhaps. In any scale, I would have continued to buy them. I guess, too, that as time went on interest in the movie & merchandise faded. Maybe if they make The Hobbit into a movie they'll continue these?
