Here are the first 2 pics of my Hall of Armor. It is a modular design consisting of heavy cardboard boxes 5" tall by 3" wide by 1.5" deep. The boxes can be set side by side in a line on a wall or in a circular pattern as depicted in the comics, and also stacked. The concept allows for the figure to actually be packaged in the box on a card back with a plastic bubble over it. It then becomes figure and playset all in one. I am not happy with the figure, it looks too much like a gunslinger, but that is the best it will allow, it will not stand perfectly straight like an empty suit of armor. For the cardboard I used an old notebook binder. Recycling is free, saving money for more figures. It is also cost effective if retail manufacturing. So my question(s) to Hasbro are: I came up with this idea in a matter of hours, don't you have a department of people who are supposed to come up with cool ideas like this? Why didn't they? (and) Why are you still paying them? CCC.

More Hall of Armor test shots. "Dude, think about it. You have ONE suit of armor, and seriously, when was the last time you upgraded it?" CCC.

and one more for now. I managed to get 4 complete boxes out of a single large binder with enough for 3 base/top plates and either a back plate or the 2 side plates. CCC.

Well I lost my 4th auction for a Validus, but I don't feel so bad. My top bid was $40 and it went for $41. I couldn't do anything because I was at work and the firewall won't let me in Ebay. The auction ended just after 5 and I got off at 5:30. But the other auctions have been ending in the $70's to $80's, so the high rollers seem to be thinning out now and the price is starting to drop. Maybe the next one.....

Sorry about the Validus auction. I feel your pain. But there will be a next time.
I liked the Armor Vault idea. You need to incorporate some "stuff" with the suits. You, know, back ground "stuff" like Kirby used to do...

It is still a work in progress, those are unfinished boxes, purely structural at this point, but you can see the concept. I still need to find some good pics from the comics of the layout I remember in my head. I don't even know my color pallette yet. CCC.

One thing to add to your armor boxes is get some clear plastic and use that as glass

I don't remember the version I am trying to recreate having glass, but I am still looking for the image.

I got 4 more Iron Man figures tonight, including Classic Iron Monger. This just looks cool, especially cosidering he is too big for the standard base that is included with him. CCC.
