I love your room!!
Whenever I see a cool toy room, it always motivates me to finish mine.
I like the recessed shelves too...
Was that part of the house or did you build that just for your collection?

Thanks guys, it's a shame that it's all packed up now. To answer your question, I had the recessed shelves specifically built when I finished the basement. I should have kept the entire thing open and used glass shelves instead to utilize the space better...hopefully I can do that at the next house.

Yowza. I'm a toy-collecting virgin, compared to Superfly, and I don't have nearly the same amount of display space available. I'm curious....those wall shelves, are they behind glass ? If not, I don't envy you having to dust all those little bastiches. My display fantasy is to build a small shelf around the perimeter of my computer room, so I can line everyone up. Not sure if I'd incorporate a safety rail, to keep some of the heavier ones from going kamikazee on my head.

wow, I haven't looked at these in a while...they're all still packed up in boxes right now. As for the shelves, they were just open so dusting was a pain. And there were more than a few times I came home to find the Dominoes of Death had occured. Mostly in the JLU and various DCD like Dr Fate, Zatanna, etc.

See, that's what bothers me about non-standing figures. Nevermind if they fall by themselves. Unfortunately, they choose to take others down along with them.

just started to look at everyones collections. Man all those Joes made me want to cry. Up until 2000 I had every single Joe produced From 82-97. I even had some of the Actionman toys from 1985 when I went to Englang in the 5th grade. Like that red Cobra Comander and Jackel I think his name was the Destro with the skull and cross bones on his shirt. But then I sold them all........I miss my Joes The only one I have left is the very first Cobra Comander with the funky logo from Sears.

Not really but I was kinda desperate at the time. I am thinking of collecting the new 25th anniversary toys though. But it's kinda hard when I already collect Transformers, Micronauts/Microman, JLU, DCSH, The Batman and Stargate. Thank God I'm not into the Movie Transformers to much I would be really broke right now. Although the Real gear stuff is cool. They look like old Microman toys.

What is that under your drawing table Superfly? Looks like a Super Powers style guide.

ah the old Super Powers calendar - cool stuff. I've got pieces from a SP style guide somewhere...packed up though. Hopefully I can get a new "Room" in the new house done at some point, although it may be a while until I finish the basement. When these pics were taken, I still had a bunch of stuff in storage. And it's been almost 2 years since these photos were taken, so there's been bunches more of DCD, JLU, ML, heroclix, etc released up to now. So I'm gonna need a lot more room.

Glad you revived this thread, Ryan! Man, that's an awesome collection you have there. Hope the G.I. Joe and Super Powers are still around. That Defiant Space Shuttle rocks and the comic posters look rad.
Don't know why, but 2006 seems like a long time ago right now.

thanks, Clutch! man I agree, it seems like forever ago... I still miss that room, despite it being a tiny, gluttonous mess. Much of that is still packed up, too, as we are currently finishing the basement of our current house. And pretty much everything is still in my possession, plus lots more that wasn't in the pics and stuff that has been released since. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it all...
