found this red ranger for sale in tesco for £8 and is the original red ranger jason but comes with weird backpack thing with a red light which seems to do nothing bar light up when pressed and i cant remember original figures having the backpack or claw feet/weapons

tried looking for others but none more in tesco and cant find them online or on ebay bar vintage power rangers
have they rereleased the original power rangers tv series or something and made the figures again?
hes around same size as marvel universe so is also bit smaller than original power rangers

I don't know all the details, but the basics are these: they made a new line of figures based on the vintage/classic Power Rangers characters. This is indeed one of those new figures, made just a few years ago. They all come with that weird flying platform thing with the light.

I heard that they also started re-airing original MMPR episodes but with a new intro and some new music or special effects, but nothing of note. Apparently people didn't enjoy that. I think it was all about celebrating the anniversary of the show.
