On my to-do list right now are Speedy/Arsenal, Raven, Starfire and Superboy. All in various states of work. I'm not sure which version of Aqualad I'd like to tackle. I need to find the right look and the right figure. One thing I want to do is make them all look smaller then their mentors but that limits the figures I can use so I need to get extra creative. I've seen your take and it's great but I want to go in a slightly different direction. Feel free to throw out any suggestions of useful figures!

D's,

The cape. I try to do the figures as they would have looked in the early appearances of Amazing Spiderman. I'm working on it right now. Going to use a SHS Iron Fist body, Mandarin head and Angel hands. I'm still debating whether I can get some of those wing like devices under his arms. I have the extra Angel wings I am playing around with for that.

Joe

Hey Joe, if you're still looking for ideas for this custom I have a video on youtube about making custom capes for figures. You can easily adapt it to work under a figures arms. Check it out below, and make sure to post the final figure when you're done!

Another new custom! This one I've been wanting to do for ages and I finally found just the right base. It actually worked out even better than I expected!

Thanks, I couldn't believe how well the figure worked! I was originally going to swap the head and stuff but he didn't any of that! Just a straight up repaint, and the glasses work so much better than I expected! I was gonna make a Conner Kent style too, probably still will eventually, but I like this one so much I'm moving on to other characters for now.

I'm throwing in the towel and quitting the custom Imaginext game. I figured I could post these few pics here to show a little of what my method was. Hopefully a little later I can get some actual "how to's" created as well.

Figures separated using the boiling water/pressure pull method.

Custom casts: Useful for figures like X-Ray Woman who is clear green.

Molds: Lot's of cash and hours put into these. Patience is a must.

Im quite new here but just wanted to say 'great job' on some great looking customs!
I'm thinking about having a go at some of my own, but just wanted some clarification and/or pointers for taking apart/putting back together imaginext figures...

It seems the boiling water method is standard for removing heads, but does that work for arms too? And do you have to crack the body to remove legs?

Then when putting back together, can you just boil the parts & pop them back in? Or do you need to cut out slots in the body opening & cut sides of the neck to get it in? (Like in one video I watched KryptoFreds maybe?)

Thanks for any help offered, keep up the good work!

I think that the video you referrenced (I have seen the same one as well) shows one of the best ways to remove the parts. I have tried cracking open bodies and have had issues with breakage and also putting them back together but it can be done with a lot of patience.

Ah right, ok thanks for the heads up...maybe I'll stay away from cracking bodies for now.
So can the arms just pull out after some boiling too?
And is there no way to get a head back on without making notches?

CarlRM......welcome and glad you decided to join the group.

Love the customs, you have beaten me to a few of them but I'm sure "I'm" months from creating mine. The playset is pretty cool.....I've thought about the "Glove" playset as well......would love to see your Killer Joke version

Hope you stick around and post more customs !!!

Welcome to the forum CarlRM.

Like your custom ideas, I actually used the Landfill playset to create an Ace Chemicals playset. I have the Glove World playset along with some of the Playmobil Carnival sets (Ferris Wheel, various smaller sets) to create an amusement park for Joker. I just have to get the time to do the repainting.

Can't wait to see more of your work.
