I'm planning on using a Kenner Shadow Thunder Cab as a base for a 40's style batmobile. My question for the experts is what would be the best way to make the giant bat-fin that goes on the top of the car, and the bat-head that goes on the front? would sculpey or something similar do the trick? thanks! here is a pic of what I am trying to achieve. From what I have read this was an unproduced batmobile for the animated line which also used the shadow cab.

For the head, I would make a sculpy model of it, make a mold, and cast it in Alumilite resin. It will be lighter and stronger. The back can be hollowed out to fit. For the fin there are many possibilities, but if you resin the head, you could resin that too, just to be consistent. Paper mache is also an option, and cheap on your budget too.

Johnny Lightning made a 1:18 scale metal model version of the 40's Batmobile. Came in pieces and you had to put it together. You could probably use the pieces from it to help you with your custom. I used to have it but sold it a while back.

CCC. Once the model is completed, the doors, etc., won't open. You'd have to place the figure within the cabin as you're building it and seal it inside.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, guys. I will be sure to post pics when I finish, but it will be a little while because I haven't even bought the cab yet
