I've recently began collecting Playskool Marvel Heroes and ImagiNext for my one year old daughter. It didn't take long to collect all of the Marvel Heroes and I will soon have all of the ImagiNext DC folk. So? That means it is custom time.

These aren't on par with other ImagiNext customs but I have to start somewhere.

I started with a few head swaps. That lets me still hand these off to my daughter when it is playtime.

WWE Thugs
Image
These are simple. I like them because they are gun toting bad guys. I'm using the basic Cobra theory that masked folk are front line fodder and the odd masked, personality people must be in charge.

Group Thugs
Image
Fun group. I have a few more WWE heads from the Rumblers that I picked up on the Wally World clearance aisles. I'll update them later.

Headswaps are only fun for so long. Then the paint has to start moving. Here is the attempt.

Mumm-Ra
Image
I used an Iron Man body and combined it with a Bandai Mumm-Ra figure. I trimmed down the cape. I'm fairly pleased with how that turned out. I hot glued the head to fit and still swivel. I'm happy with that. I added some straps which worked out okay. The paint rub is troublesome. When I am better at painting I will redo that, but I had to start somewhere.

So, here is my first submission. Until Marvel puts out more Heroes then I'll have to work on my own painting. I have a few more ideas in mind for both the Marvel and DC lines that I have playing together around my Batcave.

Starting a thread seemed like the thing to do at the time. Thanks for your Mumm-Ra support. I still need to figure out his paint a little better. Figure a one color paint job will be easier to learn on. I like the recipe and would suggest it to others that can painter better than I.

Since this is the new Official Forum for the Imaginext/Playskool Heroes Customs I thought I would re-post my custom figures here. I haven't made that many to date, but I usually try to be sure that my 4 year old son can play with them as well. Hope you enjoy and as always, comments and questions are always welcome.

Wanted to post my version of Ra's Al Ghul, recipe courtesy of to_count. I did omit the sword since I figured I would use a removable one.

Silver Surfer (Body, arms and legs)

Here is another picture that my son set up that he wanted me to post.

Awesome customs, my favorites are the Abramovici Twin's. Just finished my latest custom. I decided to do a Bane figure using the DKR head instead of the current Imaginext one.

Let me know what you guys think.

Bane DKR 3 3/4" (Head)
Rhino (Body, arms and legs)

Other projects currently on the workbench:

Poison Ivy
Lucius Fox
and a couple of basic Arkham Asylum inmates

These were my first ever customs, so they may be a little 'rough'. I'm working on my skills though and have a few new figures that I will be showing soon. Also, I'm working on a few custom vehicles and playsets!!!
Just need to find the time to finish them!! haha.

Nice customs. I am envious of the nice clean lines. I can't wait until my paint application works out that nice.
