Man o Man am I stoked about these books.

First, It was the Far Side collection. Then Calvin & Hobbes. Fantagraphics Peanuts collections are things of beauty.

And now, my favorite newspaper strip of all time (including the followups Outland and Opus) is getting the royal treatment.

I can't wait for the first volume to get solicted let alone actually be released and added to my shelf. I have already cleared out some space.

Bring it on. Maybe they will even release the insert record single from Billy and the Boingers (I still have the original but it is far from mint anymore  )...

YES!

I'm glad some fellow Bloom County fans are also enjoying the news. It was so exciting to me that I just HAD to post it to the front page!

I still have all the collections (including a copy of "Acadamia Waltz" somewhere) but haven't read them in years.

Heck, I still haven't read my last 3 spirit archives, the Orphan Annie book, the Terry & the Pirates volumes, or the last On Stage!

Not enough hours....

Mine got lost somewhere along the way...

When I was a kid, I used to get strep throat a lot for some reason...when I would be home and sick and hardly able to get out of bed, I would lay in bed and read these for HOURS.

Weird how being atrociously ill can be a 'good memory' huh?

I long for simpler times.

I still have all the books. They are pretty beat up, but I've got them.

It's funny how much I liked this strip as a kid. I mean, much of the humor is not exactly kid-friendly. Unfortunately, so many of the strips were topical at the time, but not all that much now. I gave my wife these to read a few years ago, and she was lost in several places. I mean, does anyone know who Jeanne Kirkpatrick was any more? Mystery Science Theater has the same problem.

The one I'm really waiting for is the Fantagraphics Pogo collection, which has been delayed for years now. Driving me nuts!

Glad there are several classic comics fans around here though; it's like an RC Harvey column has broken out!

No joke!

Between that and the on again, off again Floyd Gottfredson Library, I'm endlessly checking release dates on Amazon!

Now if they ever made more than the two volumes of Buz Sawyer...
