Lame. The weekly comic series wore out its welcome with Countdown.

I'll be looking forward to it! I like that new symbol as well.

I'm hoping we'll see some white lanterns come out of this.

As an old curmudgeon I gotta say I miss the time when there was only GREEN Lanterns.
Sometimes I think the "grown up fanboys" that are now running comics have diluted the gene pool with their zombies, continual internal fights, cosmic crisises, rainbow rings, reboots and returning from the dead...
A lot of this stuff is in lieu of good writing and character development, IMHO.

Normally, I would agree with you Glenn, but as a non GL fan, I've really enjoyed Hal Jordan's journey since Rebirth. It's been one hell of a ride. Is DC milking the whole Blackest Night epic? Of course. That's what comic companies do. The various Lantern Corps are actually pretty cool, and the Sinestro Corp in particular makes a lot of sense as an opposite philosophy to the Guardians.
That being said, I can almost guarantee I won't be picking up Brightest Day.

It looks like this is being alternated with another biweekly which features the 80's JLI. I was disappointed by the cover art shown even though I love the artist who did it. It's also being written by Keith Giffen and Judd Winick instead of Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis since Keith and J.M. are taking over Booster Gold from Dan Jurgens.
Interesting DC news to start the year with, that's for sure. The last thing I was expecting was another JLI revival, much less with Rocket Red on board. I hope it's really Dimitri Pushkin and not a new guy in the suit.

I'm just hoping we get some of the currently-deceased characters back as actives as a result of all this. (Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Hawkman and Blue Beetle, I'm looking at you! )
I have to say I have really enjoyed the GL comic over the past few years, and am enjoying the Blackest Night storyline. Yes, based on the sound of it, it sounds like crazy overkill and bizarre plots, but it's been a great read.
Larfleeze alone is worth the price of admission! But there have also been a number of great new characters & concepts introduced into the DC mythos as a result.

I'm wishing to see Aquaman, J'onn, and The Hawks return in their classic versions along with a great many favorites (Ted, Max, Dimitri) with hugely untapped potential.
Larfleeze is slowly growing on me. I didn't like him at first but Geoff has toned him down into a more comedic character since he joined Hal's band of assorted colored Lanterns. I think that lightening him up has been a huge plus for the character.

Just bring back the original Aquaman and all will be forgiven DC.

Well i can't say I like either of those rings. I did just buy a set of 8 lantern rings on eBay though.
Also, on a side note I read Infinite Crisis for the first time the other day. It actually cleared up some things from the GL books I've been reading.

I agree, the time is just right for a Legion Flight Ring. I'm surprised DC didn't think of it when they re-launched Booster Gold. On the other hand, ring promos weren't in the cards back then.
