Stew, I like how you say "in the real universe" that's awesome!

Stephanie Brown was one of my top 3 favorite characters in the DC Universe-- I think she was one of the few characters that they had actually shown true growth in (since I had been reading) from her humble beginnings-- to making her the complete Hero-- and Poof -- gone.....
That along with secret six-(and the Harley/ Tim Drake Redesign) among others are just some of the reasons- why I despise most of the new books-- I still read them when I pick them up for a buck a piece-- but I think thats force of Habit-- and I dont feel like I missing anything with this new universe.. We have some common ground, although we disagree about Babs. She's the one, true Batgirl IMHO. However, I do like Steph. All the way back from when she was Spoiler. It's a shame there doesn't seem to be a place for her in the new 52. And I still feel the loss of Secret Six.

Perhaps we will see Stephanie Brown in the upcoming Batman: Incorporated title.
On another topic, is anyone reading Fury of Firestorm? I couldn't get through the bloodbath in the first issue but am kind of interested now with the JLI tie in.

I'm dropping more DC titles. I find the new DC pretty boring compared to the pre-New 52.
I'm dropping Teen Titans, Firestorm, Red Hood, Flash, Earth 2 and Batman: TDK.
I've already dropped multiple titles.
I've collected Teen Titans ever since I can remember.
I'm not a fan of how the whole universe has changed and the DC that I've known for the past 40 years no longer exists.
Thanks for saving me the $ DC!

Why don't you like Flash? I thought that has been one of the better books so far.

For being The Flash, it's moving at too slow of a pace to keep my interest.

If Morrisons still writing it- I'd rather she'd not-- Expecially after that horrible mess that was the thin TPB that was supposed to be the last few issues before the New 52 showed up and DC realized that they had stories- with characters that no longer existed and couldnt shoehorn them into the universe.. I started going through what I have picked up secondhand-- and Im thining that out-- no more Red Hood, Batwoman, and that Huntress series is probably going-- and I am still thinking of dumping the Batman stuff as well... God I hate this universe...

So do I... hate it that is. The Batman books are a mess, this Nite of the Owls crap has got to go... Flash, I also agree for the fastest man alive is the slowest read in history I'm still working my way through issue 3! I just don't care.
I read them because a world without these characters every month would just be a new place for me for the first time in 30-some odd years. Even the Post-Crisis DC had some semblance of the same characters who had come before in the Pre-Crisis DC. These new 52 counter parts are like someone else altogether.
I really feel that anyone who likes this universe as a whole and was a fan before it all has no taste. The majority are really terrible books, horribly written and even some of the art is miserable. AND the shoe horned Image/ Wildstorm Universe... GAG me! liefeld Characters? Please!
If you were an Aquaman fan before you have every reason to be excited however, for once in a long time since Peter David, he's cool.

Anyone wonder if they are trying to drive away the old time fans who have been complaining since the change in style about 8 years ago when Ted Kord and Donna Troy died so they do not have to listen to us complain any more?

But then who would read comics if they are trying to drive "old time fans" away? Might as well just cancel everything besides the children's comics.

Dropped Catwoman.
I'm down to four (JL, Aquaman, Batgirl, Nightwing) and Nightwing's starting to be a bit bleh lately.
On the bright side, I read the Red Lantern TPB and thought it was pretty good.

I've decided to drop Teen Titans and Earth 2. I'm now down to just JLA and Wonder Woman. I'm not in love with either of those titles either. I was only collecting DC before the reboot. I have been looking for something to replace my DC books with, but haven't found anything that really caught my eye. I am seriously thinking of just giving up monthly comics all together.
