Meh. I can't get worked up about a logo. Unless it's a Buffalo sports team logo.

I've taught High School students that have come up with better brand id's than that
I wonder what they're thinking? Maybe this really is going to be a "new coke" marketing agenda to yet again spur interest...

It CAN be colorful and splashy ... the press states that no specific color is being offered for trademark so it can be used in any color.
But that is just horrid regardless ...

While I will always prefer the Bullet, the swoosh really grew on me. Unfortunately, I can't see a time when I will ever look fondly on this bizarre new iteration. I really wish DC would take Vertigo more seriously (in pretty much all matters ... like embracing your "trade only" readers as a viable and valuable part of your audience) and maybe hire some of their design team. Vertigo has done some very nice stylistic things with their logo and cover branding and if anyone in DC proper's editorial would pay them even the least bit of serious attention we might not be facing ... this  ... now.
