If you want to see some VERY cool customs, go check out Bill Burns' site and the custom wiki. Bill and theguff are the only ones as far as I'm aware that have ever done any Valiant custom figures in JLU scale.

Bill and Guff have both done Solar, and Bill has done FANTASTIC versions of Turok, Magnus and Rai.

Wow-- I thought no one ever read these books-- since they are the staples of every quarter box in the world...

I never got into them-- and just couldnt understand the appeal-- although I will agree their special covers did always draw your eye-- (and were at the root of the speculator push that killed the industry-- (Return of Superman being the final nail in that coffin)..

Valiant started as a great underrated company! What you find in the Quarter Bins of America are the Valiant issues which come after the speculation boom! Try finding Pre-Unity books in those boxes or the final issues of the Valiant runs.

I can get 60 bucks for the final issue of Solar and close to 50 for the final issues of Magnus and Bloodshot for those who are hip to complete their Valiant collections.

Valiant was super saturated in betweem the end of Unity and the end of the comic line thanks to the Wawa effect... a comic shop on every street corner in the 1990s.
