When these first came out last year, I thought they were nice but didn't buy any. I had always been a fan of SF, but these figures just didn't hit me as "must haves" - boy, was I wrong!!

My buddy convinced me to buy Sagat, I opened him up and that was it! These are some of the best figures on the market IMO. Great sculpts, faithful to the characters; solid paint apps, perfect amount of articulation...just an overall great line. I bought the whole Round 1 set including variants and the Round 2 basic figures, now I'm working on the multiple 2 Round variants. Expensive, yes. But a very cool and fun line of figures!

Anyone else diggin' these? :D

I have all of them so far! Not including store-exclusive variants.

Yep, it's great example of a license I really had no interest in but SOTA makes such a cool toy I'm forced to buy them!

I was crazy about the first series, buying almost every exclusive in addition to the regulars. I have the second series sitting on my shelf, but I haven't felt motivated to open them.

I also don't check the SF boards as much as I used to, either. I think all the delays and the Si fiasco have turned me off from the line a little, but they're still awesome figures and I'm sure I'll continue to pick them up. But there are just too many variants in series 2 to worry about getting them all. I wanted yellow Ken, but his yellow gloves ruin it for me. I'll stick with the white and red gi versions.

I'd buy 'em if it wasn't for the price. I've only seen 'them at Hottopic, and they're like $14 each! Guess I'll have to settle with Jazwares....ghetto.

Tower records has 'em on the peg for $9.99 that's where I pick 'em up.

I was really reall up for this line, but the Distribution fiascos with Southern Island sorta soured me for a bit.

Now I'm mainly buying singles the only getting the variants if they're relatively easy to get.

Great great figures, but hard to find in store (which is a better option for me as I often want singles or to be able to pick paint ops...)

I think as the line progresses I'll be even more inclined to pick and choose as I'm not a huge fan of the Zero or post Super Street Fighter characters.

SpyMagician

PS. Hopefully the next Jazwares wave will raise the bar a tad. If not you can blame me and Joe Amaro and I had a hand in designing the protos...

I definitely don't think they're worth their price, but they're ok figures. I mean, they're well worth it if you're comparing them to prices like JLU, Batman, or DBZ stuff, but with Toybiz putting such great product out at half the price I'm not too happy with the pricepoint. The likenesses feel pretty far-off on half of these guys too for me since I'm a big fan of capcom in-house art, and the articulation really only goes so far for such dynamic characters. Ryu and Ken can't even hit standing poses because the guys think the double elbow is ugly! Kinda sucks since the girls have double elbows they don't even need. Still waiting on my series 2 order actually, though I've seen these all out in stores. My Tower Records had them for $11.99 apiece, Hot Topic had them for $13.99, and Gamestop had them for $12.99. Really a little too pricey for me to think about pretty insignificant variants.

Hey Spy-

I've seen them at that Gamestop over by where we ate the other day. the people in there are really nice and will look-up toy info for you on the computer if you ask'em. They might even hold you a set.

i've also seen the SF figures at the Tower Records on Lincoln.

I wasn't keen on the line(I liked the games but wasn't a big fan of the characters) but after so many raves, I chose the coolest looking one, Sagat, and ordered him. Downhill from there. :D Got Vega, Blanka, Cammy, and White Ken at Suncoast, love them all. Probably going to order a Ryu next month. The figures are so cool they made me a fan of the characters.

I'll probably get at least one Blanka variant as well.

I'm a big fan of the games, so I've gotta get every character.

I also don't think these can be compared to ML, the sculpting and quality reminds me more of DCD stuff, except with ML-type articulation.

I really don't like the females so far. I've been extremely selective, although I want them all! I just don't have the funds.

So far I've only got the White Ryu and the Red M. Bison. Looking to get Ken and Guile!

well, I'm still not fond of DCD's price range for their figures. I originally thought it was cool since they could only be found at comic shops, but going into a suncoast or tower and finding them makes me think the prices could go down a bit. I'd still be a bit happier paying out the butt for DCD stuff since the sculpts really reflect the art styles they're supposed to than shelling out 13 bucks for a figure that looks like an americanized rendition of some of the most stylized characters ever.
