ThreeA is proud to announce it’s collaboration with Marvel Comics. That’s right! The house of ideas that is Marvel Comics and ThreeA, are putting their combined talents together to bring you one epic line of 1/6 figures.

The line will consist of classic Marvel characters re-imagined by artist Ashley Wood in the ThreeA style. All the Marvel goodness that you already know and love, with an extra added twist. Releases will start in 2013.

To get the chance to play with Marvel Comics awesome characters is kinda mind blowing...” – Ashley Wood

I probably won't buy any of these just due to budget constraints, but I can't wait to see what they look like. I saw the headline and thought "Superfly!".

I cant wait to see Marvel Characters done by Wood. Granted I wont be buying them either because I cant afford 3A's stuff but it is beautiful and I still lust after it.

Never bought any of these toys in the past. Not about to start now.

They are just too weird for me.

Happy for those of you into them, though.

Just for kicks, here's a list of all the figures and licensed properties Ashley Wood has mentioned 3A making but has never been solicited…so that's why I am a bit skeptical about the Marvel figures...

Martian Soldiers
Laser Mechanic
WWR Bertie Mk1
NERO Xaesar
Reds Slogger
The OSCAR
The Pink Ladies
Bertie + WWRp (not sure what he was trying to say here)
WWR Vehicles (Dropcloth bike)
WWR weapon packs
Bertie MK4
Peace Day Grunt
WWRp ver 1 Square set
WWRp Bot Sniper set
WWRP DIY set
Additional WWRp Dropcloths
WWRp Big Red Heavy Bramble
Kitty Queen
Casual Lady Sham (now apparently cancelled)
Lasstranaut
Dead Gangsta Astronaut
Punk King
Future Mort
Mr. and Mrs. Shadow Camden
Sherlock Holmes
Adventure Kartel Dracula
Adventure Kartel Police
Plusso and Minos, Friends of TK
Zomb MD
boogledong Ankou EX-TRA
Devil Boy of The Trust of The Spank
Big Shadow
Hammersmith

Coarsetoys
Spawn / McFarlane
Microman / Micronauts
Totem

and...Marvel?

In regards to the list, a lot of the 3A sales I would imagine depend on preorders to see if they are going to meet a specific sales goal so them getting cancelled is the market speaking in many cases. That said, Marvel would be putting up the money for these so if they ink contracts its a pretty safe bet that they will be putting them out unless something happens with the designs being total crap or something else takes the slot of those figures.

I'm very curious to see how these develop if they do and what style they will be. I gotta assume that they will be more high dollar figures as well seeing as 3A is onboard to make them.
