Greetings AFIers!
I finally joined this forum after several years of lurking and hiding in the metaphorical shadows. (I figured it was about time that I joined this...er....league of great collectors). My major collecting focus is JLU. I've collected the line since the first Justice League figures were released (with the blue cards and red name placards). Recently, I've also started picking up a few of the DCUC figures (though I have no intention of collecting this line, just a few of my favorite characters). I found this site back in about 2006 when the first JLU Huntress, Vigilante, Tracksuit Shayera (before her 3-pack became the SDCC exclusive) wave was announced. It seemed like AFI was the only site that cared about JLU and had regular updates. It was also the only site where I saw Toy Guru Scott post (then there was ManiacMike, but he just sort of...left). I have weathered the storm of JLU collecting - from poor distribution, to plastic and paint quality control issues (nothing like figures that can't stand up on their own), to months of staring at Fire and Ice clog up Target pegs, to waiting out the White Screen of Death for Lobo. I've been collecting JLU since its inception and I plan to keep waiting out the storm until the line meets its demise (hopefully a long time from now). I look forward to participating in the forums and conversing with all of the tremendous members of this community.
