Terminator 2 4K Blu-ray Arriving in EndoArm Box Set

SuperHeroHype

Director James Cameron’s iconic sci-fi action classic returns in pristine clarity when Terminator 2: Judgment Day arrives in a Limited Collector’s Edition EndoArm box set including a 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (plus Blu-ray and Digital HD) on October 3 from Lionsgate. Check out a trailer for the Terminator 2 4K Blu-ray below!

Still lauded by critics today as one of the greatest action films of all time, only 6,000 of the Limited Collector’s Edition EndoArm box sets will be released in the U.S., allowing fans to own a life-sized replica of the T-800 EndoArm mounted on a uniquely-numbered stand with James Cameron’s signature. Say “hasta la vista, baby” to SD and relive each quintessential moment in four times the resolution with Full HD and High Dynamic Range on the film’s first-ever 4K scan.

The Terminator 2: Judgment Day EndoArm Limited Collector’s Edition 4K Combo Pack box set is loaded with bonus content, including an all-new, never-before-seen documentary featuring commentary from the cast and crew (including James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Edward Furlong), and will be available for the suggested retail price of $174.99. The groundbreaking masterpiece written by James Cameron and William Wisher will also be available as a standalone 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (plus Blu-ray and Digital HD) on October 3 for the suggested retail price of $22.99.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day shattered the definition of action-filmmaking to become one of the most celebrated sequels of all time. Even in an age of anything-is-possible digital blockbuster filmmaking – with onscreen action often entirely fabricated and “unreal” – T2 remains a touchstone for both filmmakers and movie fans on the use of visual effects, fusing high-tech thrills with an emotional and compelling story.

The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator franchise, Total Recall, The Expendables franchise), Linda Hamilton (Dante’s Peak, The Terminator, TV’s Beauty and the Beast), Edward Furlong (American History X, Detroit Rock City, pinkerdoodle) and Robert Patrick (TV’s Scorpion and The X-Files, Walk the Line).

LIMITED EDITION BOX SETS INCLUDES:
Life-sized Terminator EndoArm
Each limited-edition EndoArm unit includes a uniquely numbered sticker, featuring the signature of writer-director James Cameron

BLU-RAY / DIGITAL HD SPECIAL FEATURES

It’s the Dawn of Night on a Gotham Season Four Comic-Con Poster

SuperHeroHype

Jul 18, 2017

With the show moving from Mondays to Thursdays this Fall, Gotham is gearing up for fourth season on FOX. Now, we’ve learned the title of the initial season four storyline: Dawn of Night. The reveal comes via TV Insider, who premiered a Gotham: Dawn of Night poster that you can check out in full below!

Little is known about the upcoming season except that a Harley Quinn-like character is said to play a big role and young Bruce Wayne will be moving further and further toward becoming Batman (which certainly pairs with this new poster and the Dawn of Night subtitle).

Comic-Con International San Diego attendees can get their hands on this Gotham: Dawn of Night poster at the exhibit hall floor’s FOX Booth (#4229). There is also slated to be a Gotham Special Video Presentation and Q&A on Saturday evening.

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Morena Baccarin as Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Maggie Geha as the future Poison Ivy, Benedict Samuel as Mad Hatter, and Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes.

Venom and Silver & Black Directors Talk Spidey Spin-Offs

SuperHeroHype

Jul 19, 2017

Though it remains unclear what shape the films will eventually take and how they’ll interact with Tom Holland’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Variety spoke with the filmmakers behind Sony’s planned Spider-Man spin-offs, Venom and Silver & Black, to get an update on the status of the films and a tease of what they have in store for fans.

First up, Silver & Black director Gina Prince-Bythewood compares the film she’s prepping to the likes of Thelma & Louise and Midnight Run, saying:

“I wanted to tell the story of two damaged women who are at war with each other but need each other to survive.”

No casting or release date is currently set for Silver & Black.

On the Venom side, filmmaker Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) likens his vision for Venom as closer to a horror film, in the vein of John Carpenter or David Cronenberg.

“I’ve always been drawn to the more antihero superheroes,” he says. “There’s a dark element to [Venom] and a wit that has always appealed to me.”

Fleischer also teased Eddie Brock and the Symbiote will have a Jekyll/Hyde relationship in the film.

“They become almost a third being, which is what Venom is. There’s a famous quote: ‘You’re Eddie Brock. I’m the symbiote. Together we are Venom.’”

Tom Hardy is set to play the titular anti-hero in the film, which will see none other than Carnage as its antagonist. Venom will arrive in theaters on October 5, 2018.
