Over the weekend, it was all about The Walking Dead at AMC. The network aired a two season marathon which led up to a sneak peek at season 3. Naturally, that preview of the forthcoming season has hit the web and, after the jump, you'll find a clip featuring the new character - Michonne - in action with her samurai sword.
In addition to the clip, there's also a sizzle reel of sorts featuring the cast and crew talking about what is to come.
Of course, this early preview is in anticipation of Comic-Con which is goin' down in San Diego this week. The series is hosting a giant panel and series newcomers Denai Guerrero and David Morrisey - who play Michonne and The Governor, respectively - will be taking the stage to discuss their rolls with the series regulars.

Karl Urban slip might've just revealed the Trek 2 baddie.
by Scott Collura
July 9, 2012
Everyone expecting to see Khan in Star Trek 2 had better back off for a second, because a new report indicates that the film might feature an entirely different villain.
While chatting with SFX, Karl Urban -- a.k.a. Dr. McCoy -- said the following about Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the film's heavy: “He’s awesome, he’s a great addition, and I think his Gary Mitchell is going to be exemplary.”
Gary Mitchell?! What?! I'm not joking Lee! (That's a little aside for the Trekkies who are reading.)
For the non-Trekkies out there, a refresher: Mitchell was a character in the very first Captain Kirk episode of Star Trek. Played by Gary Lockwood, he was a Starfleet officer and close friend of Kirk's who was -- spoilers for an almost half-century old TV episode -- endowed with god-like powers and turned bad. The segment was called "Where No Man Has Gone Before" and it's truly one of the great Star Trek stories.
But here's the thing. Roberto Orci, who co-wrote Star Trek 2, recently named several characters who would not be in the film, and Mitchell was one of them. Additionally, the character recently showed up in the IDW comic which the filmmakers have said ties into the continuity of the films. But would director J.J. Abrams be down with that if Mitchell was the real villain of his movie?
So someone would seem to be misleading us here, but who is it? I hope it is Mitchell rather than Khan, because his relationship with Kirk would make for a great foundation to their inevitable conflict.

Based on Marvel's latest teaser, it looks like they might be readying another Point One one-shot — announced this week at Comic-Con International in San Diego, and featuring the new Nick Fury recently introduced in the Battle Scars miniseries.
The teaser, pointing to an October 2012 release — the same month Uncanny Avengers #1 is scheduled to drop — asks "Who will shape the future of the Marvel Universe?" Given the history of Marvel teaser images, it's at least possible that there are more to come featuring different characters beyond Nick Fury.
The last Point One one-shot was released in November 2011, and contained teases for series including Avengers vs. X-Men, Age of Apocalypse and Scarlet Spider. Definitive information on what this image is teasing will come 3:15 p.m. Pacific time on Friday, July 13, at Marvel's Cup O' Joe panel.
Warner Bros. Entertainment has announced that they will again sponsor the official bag of Comic-Con International: San Diego 2012. You can check out all seven collectible designs below!
Over 130,000 of the oversized 24”x29” bags have been produced and will be provided to Comic-Con attendees as they check in to the convention. The 2012 edition will be a messenger-style bag with shoulder strap and, of course, a poster-protecting pocket.
Designed by Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing, the bags feature double-sided artwork. Each will have the all-new Comic-Con 2012 official design on one side, with the other highlighting Warner Bros. titles, including TV series — live-action and animated — from Warner Bros. Television and Warner Bros. Animation, and upcoming theatrical features from Warner Bros. Pictures.
The featured TV titles are "Arrow", "The Big Bang Theory", "DC Nation", "Fringe", "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries", along with (not yet pictured) motion pictures Man of Steel and Pacific Rim.
Sources inside The Wolverine camp tell ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype that casting is starting to come together opposite Hugh Jackman in the 2013 summer tentpole movie. And we're psyched to hear that Fox is casting real Japanese actors in some of the key roles in the story based in Japan. The studio would not discuss details of these roles and continues to keep the plot under wraps, but it did confirm the following actors were cast and that more roles are expected to be filled shortly:
Hiroyuki Sanada ("Lost," Rush Hour 3, The Last Samurai) is set to play Shingen; veteran actor Hal Yamanouchi (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Push, Sinbad of the Seven Seas) plays Yashida; and new discoveries Tao Okamoto and Rila Fukushima will star as Mariko and Yukio, respectively. While none of these actors have much of a following outside of Japan, the fact that a major studio is trying to keep some authenticity in a film of this magnitude is very encouraging.
The one nugget of a storyline the studio has released is that the film is inspired by the celebrated Marvel comic book arc by Chris Claremont & Frank Miller and that The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel clashes with adamantium claws as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
And contrary to previous reports, while much of the stage work will take place in Australia, a chunk of the shoot is scheduled to happen on locations around Japan. The film is set for a July 26, 2013 release with James Mangold directing. "X-Men" mainstay Lauren Shuler Donner will produce with Hugh Jackman, John Palermo and Hutch Parker.
Following this morning's exclusive casting news on the project, ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype has learned, through sources close to the actor, that Will Yun Lee is joining that cast of James Mangold's The Wolverine as Kenuichio Harada, the man who, in the comics, is otherwise known as the Silver Samurai.
The Wolverine is slated to hit theaters on July 26, 2013.

The first superhero team created in Japan will be storming America's shores this year at the San Diego Comic-Con, according to THR.
The series has been picked up by Archaia Publishing who will be teaming with original publisher Ishimori Publishing to bring the series to life in America. It's described as follows:
Cyborg 009 follows a group of normal people of various backgrounds who are kidnapped by an evil organization named the Black Ghost, which experiments on them and turns them into cyborgs possessing extra-human abilities. Nine rebel against the institution and vow to bring it down.
The new comic will be written by F.J. DeSanto and Bradley Cramp with art by Marcus To. While the Archaia tries to bring the series to life in comic form, the original publishers are looking to take the series to the big screen.
“With the world in love with superheroes and superhero movies, the timing is perfect for a re-introduction of Ishinomori’s creations,” said DeSanto. “The book was created during the Cold War and its themes of teamwork and global co-operation still resonate in today’s culture and climate. The book was clearly ahead of its time.”
