Gillian Anderson has joined the cast of the upcoming indie sci-fi project I'll Follow You Down. Deadline has the news, saying that Anderson will star opposite Haley Joel Osment, Victor Garber and Rufus Sewell.
The film, from writer/director Richie Mehta, is officially described as follow:
After the disappearance of a young scientist on a business trip, his son and wife struggle to cope, only to make a bizarre discovery years later - one that may bring him home.
Anderson, who will play the wife, Marika, is best known for her performance as FBI Agent Dana Scully on "The X-Files" and in its two feature films. She recently appeared on the big screen in Johnny English Reborn.
There were a few sightings of Iron Man 3 filming in Wilmington, North Carolina today. WECT TV6 reports:
Film crews with Iron Man 3 wrapped up at the Cape Fear Club on Chestnut and Second Streets in Wilmington a little earlier than expected.
WECT was in the area around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning and spotted Robert Downey Jr. heading into work for the day.
According to security guard, filming wrapped in that location in about three hours.
A recent post on Facebook shows that Ironworks Productions also headed to Wilmington International Airport later in the day.
You can check out some photos with their report by clicking here. ComicBook.com added the following with some possible spoilers:
Iron Man 3 filmed a scene at the Cape Fear Club in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina earlier today. The film’s security had things pretty well barricaded up so it was impossible to get any photos of the filming inside. Those that did get a glimpse inside reported seeing extras dressed in military uniforms and suits. The extras in suits were described as looking like Secret Service men.
While talking to some Wilmington locals, we had one source involved with the production tell us that Mandarin was definitely the villain. He said Mandarin had a set of twins that did most of his dirty work for him. Another source who had visited EUE/Screen Gems Studios told us that the sets they were building included Chinese storefronts.
Probably, the biggest piece of information we learned, which we reported earlier is that part of the story for Iron Man 3 will be set in Miami, Florida. A source close to the production revealed that he had seen vehicles emblazoned with logos for the city of Miami and Miami Police Department being unloaded on one of the sets.
Iron Man 3, starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale, Ashley Hamilton and Jon Favreau, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2013.
IMAX Corporation and Columbia Pictures today announced that Men in Black 3 grossed $12.7 million at the box office in 474 IMAX theaters worldwide during its 4-day opening weekend beginning May 25. Domestically, the film grossed an estimated $70 million, of which $5.3 million was generated in 278 IMAX theaters. Internationally, the film grossed an estimated $133.2 million overall, of which $7.4 million was generated in 196 IMAX theaters. The film surpassed the previous Memorial Day Weekend global box office record set by Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
"We were excited to see 'Men in Black 3' set a new IMAX record for Memorial Day weekend," said IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond. "These solid results demonstrate that audiences around the world – particularly in key growth markets like China and Russia – will turn out in force to see the best in Hollywood entertainment in IMAX. We also believe that the combination of the first 'Men in Black' film presented in IMAX with a special six-minute clip of the upcoming and highly anticipated film, 'The Amazing Spider-Man,' provided audiences a special experience that can't be missed."
The IMAX release of Men in Black 3 has been digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of An IMAX 3D Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology.
Even though the fall is still a few months away, buzz is already trying to gear up on the new CW DC hero project Arrow.
The first teaser was released a few weeks and now reports are coming in from various sources about the quality of the pilot itself.
The Detroit News was coy about details but did say: "can’t really comment on it since it’s a rough cut. I will say it had plenty of Easter eggs, and I’m looking forward to the full show."
Zap2it had this to say: "We've seen the pilot episode, and we L-O-V-E love it. We've got faith that even the 'Smallville' fans who are clamoring for more of Justin Hartley's Green Arrow will get on board with Stephen Amell's new version."
Star Stephen Amell also spoke to Zap2it about the differences between Arrow and the fan beloved Smallville, "Nobody in our universe has super powers, so that's a big jumping off point." When asked about the diffrences in "Smallville's" Justin Hartley's Oliver Queen and his own, "I think we find Oliver Queen more injured than we saw him before. Other than in name, there are virtually no similarities between [Hartley's version and the new version]. It's not to say that one's better than the other, it's just that they're so different, it's almost weird to compare them."
The folks at Latino Review have got an interesting lead on what is happening on the Iron Man 3 set and apparently not everyone is as tight lipped as the heads of Marvel Studios.
A crew member let it slip that, as predicted, Sir Ben Kingsley is indeed playing The Mandarin in the film but he will NOT be the primary antagonist. Guy Pearce's Aldrich Killian will be the main focus of evil in the film with The Mandarin being more to the side of it all. Perhaps waiting for his time to take the spotlight in Iron Man 4?
Iron Man 3 is currently filming in North Carolina, starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale, Ashley Hamilton and Jon Favreau. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2013.
As reported a few days ago, G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been bumped from its original release date of June 29th, 2012 to March 29th, 2013.
When pressed for a simple 'Why?' the answer came back that some scenes were going to be reshot using 3D technology, in an effort to capitalize on foreign markets.
But this didn't seem like the right thing to a lot of people and now over at Deadline, they're reporting the real reason for the delay.
Warning: Potential spoilers (but since the movie is being reshot, who knows).
Apparently the film wasn't scoring well with test audiences due to the very early on screen death of Channing Tatum's character Duke and the lack of character development between himself and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson prior to his killing.
Well, if you didn't think that Hollywood ever listened to the public, here is a perfect case of it.
SuperHeroHype has confirmed that Shane Black's Iron Man 3 will feature the red, white and blue Iron Patriot armor. What is uncertain, however, is exactly who will be wearing it.
The armor made its first appearance in 2009's "Dark Avengers" #1. Following the events of the "Secret Invasion" crossover, Norman Osborn was mistakenly heralded as an American hero and tasked with leading a group of government-sanctioned Avengers. Taking the technology from Stark Industries, Osborn designed his suit to represent the then-recently-deceased Captain America.
Because the character of Osborn is a Spider-Man villain and the rights rest at Sony Pictures, it's pretty much a certainty that a different character will be donning the suit in the upcoming film.
Now in production in North Carolina, Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale, Ashley Hamilton and Jon Favreau. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2013.
UPDATE: We have now received the first photos of the costume on set! We can also reveal which actor is underneath the suit which, due to the potential spoiler nature of the information, is discussed at the bottom of this page.
The armor is being worn by James Badge Dale, who plays Eric Savin in the feature film. First announced earlier this month, Savin becomes, in the comic books, the cyborg villain Coldbood. At this point it is unknown whether or not we'll see the actor in multiple costumes or if Coldblood and Iron Patriot are being merged into one character.
Daniel Radcliffe will always be Harry Potter to almost everyone but he'd like to broaden his horizons and step into the shoes of a superhero.
In an interview with ShowbizSpy Radcliffe said, "“There’s not many superheroes left who haven’t been done but I don’t think anyone’s done The Flash yet. That’s one I’d probably have a go at but I don’t have any immediate plans. There are lots of offers around, but I want to do something that I’m really passionate about.”
While I don't see Radcliffe fitting into the red and yellow suit, he just might make a good Booster Gold or Daredevil, maybe even Iron Fist. But since he refers to "offers" being around maybe we'll see him saving people from fires and stopping bank robberies soon enough.
What do you think? Who do you want to see Radcliffe portray?

With the announcement of the voice cast of DC's animated adaptation of Frank Miller's classic The Dark Knight Returns we're getting our first look at what the film will look like.
The animated feature will be released in two parts with the first expected to hit home video Fall of 2012 and the second Spring of 2013. Peter Weller (pictured first) will provide the voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne, Ariel Winter will be voicing Robin, and David Selby (pictured above). It is being directed by Jay Oliva, who storyboarded Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman movie Man of Steel, from a script by Bob Goodman.
The Dark Knight Returns is set in a near future where Batman is retired and Gotham City has slid into a dystopian state ruled by a gang of hooligans called The Mutants. The 55-year old Bruce Wayne is forced to don the cape once more, this time partnering with a female Robin to not only stop the Joker but keep the peace when the city falls into chaos after being hit by an electromagnetic pulse.
Gemma Arterton has joined Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake in New Regency and Stone Village Pictures' Runner Runner, reports Variety.
In the dramatic thriller, directed by Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer), "Timberlake plays a Princeton student cheated out of his tuition money playing online poker who ends up the right-hand man of the site's corrupt boss (Affleck). Arterton plays Timberlake's love interest."
Twentieth Century Fox will distribute the film, which starts shooting in Puerto Rico in late June.

Author/screenwriter of The Exorcist, William Peter Blatty, has stepped forward to address the buzz of an Exorcist mini-series being in development.
The news broke last week, via Vulture, that Morgan Creek and Martha Marcy May Marlene director Sean Durkin was going to pen a new adaptation of Blatty's novel.
Blatty tells Bleeding Cool that's a load b.s. because, well, he owns the rights to the property and Morgan Creek doesn't have the right to develop a show.
Further, "Friedkin and I have a new miniseries remake script that we hope will one day be picked up," he tells the site.
Somewhere someone is in the wrong - either Vulture (who may have received false intelligence) or Morgan Creek, who perhaps think the rights belong to them and are anticipating some sort of rights battle. Or maybe Blatty is wrong. Who knows?
The proposed Exorcist series did not even have a network home yet, so we're still a bit early out from anything actually happening.
