When will they post the schedule of panels for 2006?

I was trying to read through their website and after taking notes for 15 minutes realized I was looking at LAST YEARs schedule. The clue was a discussion about Batman being the star of a picture for the summer.

Maybe they could get a preliminary schedule up?

>>When will they post the schedule of panels for 2006?<<

The con usually posts the programming schedule a couple of weeks before the show, superfriend. They wait that long because they're never sure of the schedules of the comic creators and movie stars. Nothing really gets finalized until the last minute. For example, Warner Brothers decided to fly Bryan Singer from Australia to San Diego two days before last year's con get started. Singer had to leave immediately after the panel because he was in the middle of shooting Superman Returns.

(You're lucky. Back in the 80's and early 90's, before this internet thingie took off and the con got it's own website, we never knew what the schedule was until we walked into the convention center the day the show started.)

Do we have any idea what day the Mattel toy panel will be?
Or what days Boy Wonder will be at the Mattel booth?

It's still going to be a few weeks or so. I know that the deadline for panel info is 6/20, so I suspect it will be posted shortly after that.

yeah, I read through the schedule for Thursday. Pokemon, DC Nation, and Mattel would top my list.

I can't wait to see what the schedule for the rest of the week-end is like.

Friday's schedule is up. Something about 'action figures'. Hosted by someone named "Julius Marx". I wonder what that might be about...

Quote:
2:30-3:30 Action Figures: Under the Knife— Action figure sculpting is pop art that is just recently coming into the spotlight. In years past, nameless, faceless sculptors cranked out figure after figure of beloved characters, but now the sculptors are becoming better known among fans and the industry. In this discussion with some of the industry’s top sculptors you will learn the path that led them to many a fanboy’s dream job. Find out what tools and materials they use and where laser scanning ends and the sculptor takes over. Panelists will discuss mold making and painting, their favorites, and which characters they would like another crack at. Panelists include sculptors Barsom, DC Direct; Matt Falls, Sideshow Collectibles; Steve Kiwis, Eightball Studios; Mike Locasio, NECA; Ruben Procopio, Masked Avengers Studio; Jean St. Jean, McFarlane Toys; Phil Ramirez, Suspect Toys; and prototype painter Eddie Wires, Toy Biz. Moderated by Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett from Action Figure Insider. Room 4

Oh yeah, its also "Star Wars Day", with lots of related panels. Including Hasbro. I wonder if anyone I know from my time at the company will be there.

Yep! This panel is on the schedule for Friday July 21st:

4:00-5:00 Bruce Timm Retrospective/Legion of Super Heroes— Warner Bros. Animation president Sander Schwartz introduces a retrospective on the creativity of animation legend Bruce Timm (Batman Beyond, Superman: The Animated Series). Bruce will talk about his 20-year career, screen selected scenes from his body of work, and take part in a Q&A. Immediately following the Timm retrospective, Warner Bros. Animation presents a sneak peek at Legion of Super Heroes, a new Superman-themed half-hour adventure series inspired by the DC Comics series and set to air Saturdays this fall at 11:00 AM ET/PT in the Kids’ WB! programming block on the new CW. Producers Linda M. Steiner (Teen Titans) and James Tucker (Justice League Unlimited), story editor Rob Hoegee (Teen Titans), and others from the show’s creative team will join several of the Legion cast members, including Yuri Lowenthal (voice of Superman), Andy Milder (Lightning Lad), Shawn Harrison (Timber Wolf), and Michael Cornaccia (Bouncing Boy) for a Q&A session and debut of scenes from the upcoming show. Room 20
